WisdomCast: New Moon in Pisces: 19 March 2026

Hi there,

Apologies for the delay – this was a tough one for me … also, don’t know about you but I am feeling quite scattered at the moment.

Mercury came back on track on Friday, Jupiter came back online on 11 March, and we now are entering a period with no retrogrades – yay!!

More about that in my newsletter – let me know if you want me to send it to you or register here: https://control.mailblaze.com/index.php/lists/sm993xj2jx997/brand/C6vODw5XSnacN/subscribe

Our card from the Aspects of Self deck by Susan Emily Pitt is Aphrodite.

My initial thought when I drew this card was, “Oh, this is all about beauty, finding beauty, finding your inner beauty etc.” and that is partly true considering that Aphrodite is the Goddess of physical beauty and the expression of love on the physical plane. It is so much more than that though. The sub-title of the card is The Power of Vulnerability so we are also talking about the beauty of our true selves.

Being able to express and share love in our physical world is about being able to be vulnerable, unguarded, open and completely honest about who we are and how we feel with those around us. Yikes – yea that!!

Why is this so hard!!! It is our natural state – we start out completely vulnerable, we have no choice really, we are totally reliant on people around us for everything.

This is why we just “suck up” everything during the first 7 years of our lives basically. This is what they call the “absorbent phase” in Montessori theory. The people around us give us the structure that carries us through our lives and forms the basis of the agreements we make with reality about what is true, right, false and wrong.

These agreements then become our spiritual and mental DNA so to speak, and we never question or challenge them unless we have to. You can read more about the agreements we make in the introduction to The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

We not only absorb the practical stuff like language, learning to walk, move, talk, etc, but in a more subtle way, we also pick up our parents or caregivers wounds, fears, biases and beliefs too, and this is where the shit hits the fan.

This is why the three Abrahamic Religions (Judaism, Islam and Christianity) insist that children born to their adherents are “educated” in the belief system from birth, often using mind games and psychic abuse to do so – an example of this from my own experience: I was speaking to my mom about dying as she approached the end and I asked her why she was so scared; she would be in “heaven” with my dad and sister and other members of the family etc., she was always very devout and prayed regularly, went to mass etc, and her response floored me.

She was convinced that she was “going to hell” because she had failed as a Catholic mother: none of her children are practicing Catholics, her daughter was a very wayward child before she died, and I am gay and working with the energies and stuff I work with, so she would not be reunited with her loved ones, she would be going to hell!

She was absolutely convinced and it took a lot of talking and I don’t even know if I got through to her – I guess she has the answer now though! Lol.

After that, life happens, our ego develops, or judgements get engrained and re-enforced or challenged, our hearts get broken, we are betrayed and let down, and our vulnerability decreases bit by bit until we walk around with walls and armour no-one can get through – and we wonder why we end up alone and lonely!

Many teachers will tell us that we have the power to create a new world, this is not entirely true, if at all.

My definition or understanding of black magic is the using of means not understood by regular science, to manipulate and control others.  Traditionally, the concept is to do harm to others, but isn’t interfering with their free will and experience causing harm to them too?

When people hurt us, the most “natural” reaction (read pre-programmed) is to seek revenge, demand punishment, demand retribution etc. “The evil doers have to pay!!” Isn’t “creating a “better world” for everyone in the image we have black magic too then?

The world is going to do what it is going to do, people are going to be who they want to be, and they are going to treat us the way they want to, and the way we allow them to. We can not manipulate other people’s paths without their consent and buy in; we can’t do it at all to be frank.

All that will happen is they will put on a mask around us, so we think they have changed, and carry on about their business.

We all have an agenda, EVERY-SINGLE-ONE-OF-US, even if that agenda is not entirely our own, but that of a religious system, corporate control etc., it is there.

This whole focus on the external world is the distraction, the greater good is a delusion, and the best for the community is a lie.

All we have the right to control is ourselves and our experience of reality, and this is where our power lies. Not in changing the world, but in changing our interaction, interpretation and experience of the external world.

So, back to being vulnerable, as you may have guessed, something I am still working on, and I think is something I want to bring into the world.

Where to start though? The first step, I think, is to be honest and aware of where the wounds, indoctrination etc. lies – shadow work helps with this, forgiving people that have hurt you, releasing the anger and pain, and choosing to be vulnerable – easy peasy, lemon squeesy right!!

Yea, not so much.  I have often said that truth from source is always simple and easy to understand, if it is complicated, it comes from ego and fear. BUT, it is not always easy to implement, purely because our “programming, especially at an early age, is going in totally the opposite direction to achieve this.

All it takes is letting go of fear and judgement, forgiving those who hurt you, honest self-examination, self-awareness, unconditional love, and unconditional trust in yourself and your higher awareness and making different choices – that’s it!! Done!

Sharing our love, our hearts and our truth with other people relies on complete and total vulnerability. Vulnerability relies on total and complete integrity (What you say, what you think and what you feel all says the same thing) and complete trust in ourselves and the divine.

So, who’s with me – we can do this right!!
