Hi there
Welcome to 2026, as I said in the SoJournal and sent out last week, 2026 is a 1 (or 10) year which means we need to look at what we are wanting to achieve, and change the way we are doing things so we don’t repeat the mistakes of the past.
I have been thinking about 2 statements that have become very cliched in the last while, but still remain true and I think we need to really think about them in more depth:
- The definition of insane is doing things the way you have always done them and expecting different results.
- When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
So, in keeping with the above, I have decided to make some changes. First major change is that the Wisdom Cast (New name too) may not be every weekend – I am toying with once a month, at the most twice a month.
I have also changed the focus more strongly to self-awareness and finding our own strengths and weaknesses, so for the central card I am now using a deck that keeps popping up in my space, and I keep ignoring it, so I guess it is time to use them.
The Aspects of Self: The Game of Life deck with art and text by Susan Emily Pitt is a beautiful deck with some amazing thoughts and insights. The sub-title of the deck is “Know Thy Self”; a famous maxim inscribed at the Temple of Apollo in Delphi.
This is the most potent advice and often used as the basis of all true spiritual connection. Before you can understand the divine, you need to know the divine as it expresses itself in you.
I am not sure if they are still in production because I can’t find them anywhere, so if you see them somewhere let me know so I can link them.
The order of the decks has also changed. We still have the Central Focus (Aspects of Self deck), the supporting cards are now from the Quantum Oracle & Enchanted Map, and the grounding cards are now the Faeries Oracle and The Sacred Geometry Oracle.
The below is based on my knowledge, experience, and interpretation; feel free to disagree and question me, we both grow that way.

TAspects of Self deck: God/Goddess Within – The Power of Divinity
Oh my goodness, drawing this card to start my new vision of the WisdomCast couldn’t be better if I sorted through the cards and selected it myself!!
While it is true that we are spiritual entities having a physical experience, sometimes we forget this when our physical environment gets difficult to handle.
It is also important, at the other end of the scale, to remember that we should not zoot all the way to the other end and forget that we still must be, do and live in the physical world – it is about balance. In fact, the very reason we exist in the physical plane is to express the divine in opposition to what appears not to be divine, which of course is not true, but the concept must exist for us to exist.
When times are tough, take a breath and remember your divinity, remember that you have the power within you to drive a different result or situation.
When you are floating in the ethers, it is also important to remember that you have a physical experience to have too.
Neither is mutually exclusive, in fact, they are two sides of the same coin.
When you are stressed and struggling, you need to bring your divinity in, when you are fluttering and floating around, remember you have a physical experience to enjoy too.
The physical and divine feed off each other and balance each other out. Do not resent the physical when it gets too much. Stop, breathe, remember your divinity and that you have the power to change the situation.
When your divinity gets too much, remember your physical experience and ground yourself.
Bringing divine understanding into the physical sphere helps us to know that the tough times pass, and the less stressed we are, the better the next cycle will be.
Don’t get stuck in the circle of fear, stress, and self-recrimination, remember you have come through, survived and maybe even thrived through 100% of every hard and impossible situation in your life, you will fly through this one too.
Gratitude exercises help here, that’s why we added them to the daily pages in the SoJournal. By focussing on what you do have, what you have survived, and what you have achieved, you can connect to the God/Goddess within you to find the way out of the tough times too.
One of the most disempowering concepts in our modern belief systems and societal structures is the idea that you depend on the “good will” of an external entity, authority or spirit to succeed and thrive.
This gives the power to external forces to control your experience. Definitions of what being a good person is, concepts of right and wrong, are all manifestations of this control.
When you are first exploring your spirit, the concept that you have the power to change things seems impossible, and often, when we realise that we can change things, we have an external focus; fighting the system, fighting against this or that etc. when the truth is that we can change NOTHING in our external environment AT ALL.
What we can do is change the way we experience the external environment, how we interpret situations and make judgements about them.
It you truly believe that you are discriminated against, you will experience every situation as a demonstration of this. The divine presents what you expect, not because it is mean, but because your mind is “tuned” to seeing discrimination, so you will see it, even if it isn’t there.
The only way to improve your experience, is to change your expectations and your knowing about yourself.
This is why activists are never satisfied with their outcomes for example. Once they become champions of others, they carry a responsibility to them, sel-imposed of course, and sometimes even unwanted, but they take it on anyway and fight, fight, fight. All that is happening is that they are finding what they expect to see, building up huge bursts of energy, and sending that energy directly back to the very situation they are trying to solve.
STOP! Look for the opposite of what you are “fighting”, look for people supporting each other, and you will find them.
Are you changing the world – not at all, what you are changing is what you are seeing in the world.
“But what will happen to those “poor” people being discriminated against” you may ask. Simple, worst case, someone else will take up their cause, best case they will realise they have the power within themselves to change. A power you have withheld from them because you were ”saving” them and boosting your own ego in the process.
Supporting Cards
Things we can focus on to help us with the main focus above
The Quantum Oracle – Commitment: A Promise
The first thing we need to do to make changes in our lives is to make a commitment. I am not a huge fan of the word promise, commitment is for me a better word and stronger.
What do I mean by this? When you decide to make changes, commit to them. I was listening to Marianne Williamson talking about relationships awhile ago and something she said made so much sense to me.
You have to be in a relationship to make it work. When you say things like; “Yea I like him, but not sure, I will wait and see if this works out”; you are not in the relationship, so how will you know?
The same here, you can only expect things to change, if you commit to the change.
You will be “tested”, not because the universe is mean, but because you already have energy rockets out there on their way back to, also your habit for so long has been to focus on something else, so your current agreements might pop up unexpectedly.
If you “slip up” and chose a previous agreement or thought, stop, take a deep breath, acknowledge it and release it.
So, you could say something like; “Yes, that was accurate before, I am now choosing something different. I choose to experience ***”
How can we ground this learning into our experience and move forward?
The Enchanted Map Peaks of Joy –Share your joy
Our emotions are our truest form of communication with the divine within us.
If you are feeling good and focussed, good, keep doing what you are doing, if not, take a step back, look at what you are thinking, or how you are interpreting a situation.
By changing your “energy signature”, you change where you are paying attention, what you see and experience, and how you are interpreting the external world.
Rephrase disempowering thoughts. For example, if someone lies about you at work, don’t defend yourself, the more you defend yourself, the more you look guilty.
So, understand your reputation is not in your control, people will believe what they want to. You know the truth about yourself, focus on other things, focus on doing your job with integrity and honesty. If your boss or someone confronts you, simply state that is not true, and that they need to focus on what they know about you rather than listen to malicious gossip maybe.
You will need to create your own scenarios, if you have made a mistake, be honest about it, and focus on what can be done to improve the situation. Don’t judge yourself, accept responsibility, and find a solution.
It’s your life and experience, the responsibility for it is yours and yours only!
The Faerie’s Oracle – Taitin the Sylph: Acute Intellect, quickness, mental synthesis, discernment
One of the Help-line troupe of Faeries, who assist us in our daily lives, sometimes with a bit of mischievousness added in to the mix.
Taitin sprinkles a faery dust that brightens the mind and clears our thoughts. She also teaches discernment, often by letting us learn by experience.
She is full of bright ideas and concepts, however, a little warning here, she is not the most practical of the faeries.
Sit quietly in nature or a simple garden and focus on her, she will ignite your mind with a myriad of thoughts and sparkling ideas, it will be up to you to apply to the practical realm though.
Sacred Geometry Oracle Deck: Hexahedron : The cube
The Hexahedron is the most stable of the platonic solids and will help you find practicality in Taitin’s sparkling vibrance.
Sit quietly after Taitin’s moment and hold a cube in your hand while you mull over what you need to bring into practical manifestation.
You can also use this image to sit on, or draw one to use when you need to manifest things into stable physicality.
Wednesday Wisdom is a free service, and you are welcome to share it if you wish, just please respect my work and share it in its entirety.
The Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
