Hi there

Hope you have had a good week so far, let’s have a look at what the cards want us to think about this week.…

As a reminder, the reading focuses firstly on the individual interpretations of the cards, and then a summary at the end.

The bulk of the “wisdom” is in the individual descriptions, even if you just read the summary for now, make time to read the individual interpretations, it will definitely help understanding the full message.

The below is based on my knowledge, experience, and interpretation; feel free to disagree and question me, we both grow that way.

Card by card explanation

Central energy focus
The StJinx Arcana: Ten of Wands

My initial reaction when I look at this card, is the sense of desperately holding on to what we hold dear, thoughts, things, feelings, beliefs and agreements.

His right-hand side is covered in tattoos all the way down to his ankles, while his left-hand side is clear skin and he carries a sparkling green, magical elixir at his waist, his head is bowed towards his left side, and he feels dejected and sad to me. Maybe even grieving.

Most of what he holds in his arms are weapons, cold, hard and uncomfortable, while ahead of him is a peaceful village scene, faded behind a mist, not as far away as it appears to be initially.

He feels burdened down by his “duty” and what he “should be” or “must be” to be accepted, not realising that this is not all there is. And even though he is everything he “should be”, he is still not part of the community anyway.

With his head bowed down to the left, it makes me think that he is aware of the magic elixir but is hiding it from himself.

Traditionally the right-hand side of our bodies focuses on action and logic (controlled by the left brain) what we do or have done, and the left-hand side (controlled by the right-brain) more on the receptive, receiving, surrendering energy.

His left side is clear and clean, his right side is covered in complicated tattoos, what this says to me is that the world of Spirit (truth, divine and unconditional love) is clean, clear and simple, the world of Ego (Fear, falsehood, physical) is complicated and too “busy” to see clearly.

From the above, the central focus for me, is that we really need to look at what we think, do and express. Things we focus on to “fit in” to a group, be accepted by society, to be a good person, etc.

Really look at them honestly, are they aligning with your inner-being, are they expressing the magic elixir of you, who you really are? Are you having to do things that “hurt” your soul, but do them anyway because it is your job?

Do you even know who you really are, your essence, your truth and your joy? Or are you a reflection of what others expect you to be? A reflection of what you and others expect a label you have embraced “should be”.

Yes, to be able to function in society we often need to wear a mask. That is fine, if you know your truth and are fully aware of wearing the mask, and know how to take it off and see it for what it is. For most people, however, the mask is unconscious, and becomes their truth.

Using external validation to define yourself always leads to being ostracised and excluded, holding onto “useless” weapons that are only hurting you and serve no purpose to those who told you to get them.

You may be accepted and embraced initially, this is what empowers the mask. And when the mask becomes your truth, your “soul” gets shoved into the magical elixir bottle and hidden from view. Your passion, joy and life goes with it.

It doesn’t get destroyed or removed, just supressed, and the pressure will build until it explodes. It will explode; sometimes sooner, sometimes later, but it will come out.

As Henry David Thoreau expresses it; “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation”. Don’t be one of them.

What is supporting this process, what processes can we use to help us here?
The Faerie’s Oracle – The Friends: Friendship, support, aid.

Members of the Help-line Troupe of Faerie come to support this process. The Help-line Troup are exactly who they say they are, helpers. These are the fae we most often experience as pixies, brownies etc. They are fun and mischievous, often pranksters. Connected to the five elements, earth, air, fire, water and moonlight, they are best interacted with in natural environments using natural magic.

They do not always help in the way we expect, which is often the way with faerie, but always in the most effective way.

Faery Nuff and his best friend Laochan are depicted in this card; they are inseparable and always appear together. Faery Nuff can also help us to regain the childlike joy of experiencing faery that we lose “growing up”.

Uncomplicated and joyful, they remind us to seek out true, honest friendships, and will highlight sycophantic relationships, the snivelling support of people that tell us what they think we want to here, subtly manipulating us to do their bidding. I am sure we all know one or two of these people.

They support and encourage by telling us what we want to hear, to keep us “in power” so to speak, but the moment someone else comes along that they can get “more” from, they change allegiance in a flash. The halls of government, societies, associations etc. are full of them!!

You true friends will be honest with you, even when you don’t want to hear what the have to say. When you fight with them, they quietly withdraw but keep an eye on you, ready to catch you when you fall.

True friendship has no time or distance restriction. These are the friends that you need to heed, not the ones that pat your back and tell you how fab you are, even when, in your heart, what you have done hurts.

Faery Nuff and Laochan can help you recognise true friendship and fake friendship, so ask them to help you as you go through this process.

The Quantum Oracle – Hidden Motivations: Conflicting Intentions.

his card shows a woman holding her hands over her heart centre, within her “being “ are happy children playing, a peaceful environment in harmony with the natural world, idyllic really, around her are dark drapes, sparkling with diamonds and hidden moons etc.

There are two ways of approaching this concept. Are your “outer” actions consistent with your “inner” desires or, alternatively, are your desires being blocked by inner thoughts you are not aware of.

We have discussed the first question in some detail already, let’s expand on the second one.

This is something that I often see when people are trying to manifest things, a new job, more money, a loving relationship, and they are constantly disappointed when their manifestations either do not work, or present as less than expected.

When you send out a manifestation energy, your entire being goes into that energy, not only the parts you are focussing on. So, if you are manifesting a relationship, but you don’t believe you are a person deserving of love, then you will get a new relationship, externally everything you asked for, internally however, after a while, it turns aggressive, abusive, or you end up doing something to end it.

When you sent out the wanted bits, the unwanted bits that you were not aware of went with them.

This is why knowing your own truth is so important, you cannot create a life that resonates with your soul, if your wounds have not been healed.

If your life doesn’t make you feel good, look at yourself and make some changes.  Try things on for size initially if you must, and send out another manifestation, see what comes back, if it not what you wanted, looker deeper within you, the answers are there, or reflected externally.

If someone upsets you or you judge them, look inward, what is it they represent that you either cannot express yourself, or can not allow other’s to express in case they expose the falsehood you are expressing?

We are living in a time when falsehoods are being exposed left, right and centre. Religions that profess to be based in love are showing that they are based in fear and control. People we have idolised and respected are showing themselves to be manipulating and controlling.

People who promote compassion, love and acceptance are celebrating people being assassinated for their beliefs.

It is time we honestly looked at ourselves, our world, and what we pay attention to and support. If you have to justify or explain away your, or someone else’s actions, defend someone being a monster with comments like; “They were abused as a child, they have no option” and other similar comments, then you really need to take a good, long, hard look at yourself and what you encourage in the world.

A memory from my childhood comes flashing back – “two wrongs do not make a right” my mother often said – I think we need to remember this.

Regardless of how you have been treated, it is up to you to heal your wounds so they do not hurt others and keep the cycle going.

If one person hurt you or abused you, this does not give you the right, the duty or the mission to destroy every person that reminds you of that person.

Your actions, thoughts and behaviour are your responsibility, energy doesn’t chose sides, positive energy returns positive energy, negative energy returns negative energy.

The universe makes no judgment of what lead to the energy being transmitted, it simply returns what was sent in abundance.

We experience pain and suffering so we can learn forgiveness and unconditional love, healing and joy. So we have a comparison and a process to work with.

Taking revenge, seeking reparation, demanding “justice” keeps us stuck in the cycle of hatred and violence.

Every holy book, in its own way tells us the same thing. “What goes around, comes around”, “Vengeance is mine sayeth The Lord” etc. You are your responsibility, nothing and no-one else.

Pay attention to healing your wounds, give the example to your children of being a responsible, healing adult, not a weak, angry vengeful beast.

How can we ground this learning into our experience and move forward?
The Enchanted Map: Metamorphosis – You are in the process of deep and beautiful change.

Metamorphosis is the ultimate type of transformation, it requires part of you to literally die so you can be reborn. Just like a caterpillar must die in its cocoon to become a butterfly, and the butterfly must struggle to break the cocoon open so its wings are strong enough to fly, a major shifts in our awareness we need to die to our old self and embrace a new “truer” version of ourselves.

The world is in chaos right now, there is no doubt about it. This is the process we are involved in right now, but before the “new vision” can become a reality, the old one has to die, and to make sure that we do not recreate the same vision with different faces as before, we need to see clearly what is being shown as the masks fall away.

Sacred Geometry Oracle Deck: Dancing through eternity - Relationship

As much as I have said that we are our own focus, that the answers lie within, that we are the only ones that know our own truth. What is also true is that without the reflection of relationship, we loose the sense of existing.

The spiral continues into eternity, as it spirals outward, the centre spirals inward. The dance of relationship gives us our sense of existing. We only exist really in the reflection of ourselves, and vice a versa.

This card also highlights the importance of intimate, committed relationship, supporting and growing together into eternity.

It may seem dark and gloomy right now, but this card reminds us that once the metamorphosis is complete, and we can express our true being, then others, maybe even significant others, that fit with us will be drawn to our truth.

Once we remove the masks, and show ourselves, warts and all to the world, then our true friends, lovers, partners can see us, are drawn to us, and can join us in our dance through eternity.

Summary

Well now, that was hectic. As I went through this reading, I was wondering if I should even send it out, maybe because much of it hit me upside the head – hard!! A commitment is a commitment, though, so here we go …

Our main focus, central theme today is focussed on really being honest and truthful about what we truly are all about, are we spending time, effort and energy on collecting things, experiences and people that do not support our truth so we can feel better, or are we brave enough to see that what we are doing is hurting, harming or even destroying us and make a change.

We are supported by the Friends card and The Hidden Motivations Card. This seems odd as a support, but really they are saying to us that we need our true friends, who will help us find our own truth, and be able to embrace it.

As grounding or physical manifestation cards, Metamorphosis and Dancing Through Eternity, show the truth of life beyond the chaos we are currently experiencing.  If we stop trying to save the world, allow others their own process, and focus purely on being the most loving we can be to ourselves and others, without enabling our or their wounds, we can totally transform ourselves, our lives and the world.

Hope this helps – have a fab week!!

The Desiderata
By Max Ehrmann ©1927

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
