Hi there
Jeeze, the world is going crazy at the moment, it seems that everything is falling apart all over the place, things I supported whole-heartedly are now showing themselves corrupt and truly evil. People are behaving in crazy ways out of fear and misinformation that they swallow without thinking – crazy world we live in, but exciting and invigorating all the same.
When things seem to go to hell in a hand-basket, it is often, in my awareness anyway, an indication that the world is rebalancing from a previous imbalance.
An ancient Chinese “curse” often considered one of the worst is; “May you live in interesting times” – and damn isn’t the world interesting right now! Terrifying maybe, frightening maybe too, but without a doubt very, very interesting.
So, let’s see what the cards want to share with us today then shall we?
The bulk of the “wisdom” is in the individual descriptions, even if you just read the summary for now, make time to read the individual interpretations, it will definitely help understanding the full message.
The below is based on my knowledge, experience, and interpretation; feel free to disagree and question me, we both grow that way. Instead of letting anger and resentment poison our interaction, let’s grow together, even if that means travelling different paths.
Card by card explanation
Central energy focus
The StJinx Arcana: Ace of Swords
The Suit of Swords is about Air and mental acuity, wit and insight. The Ace of any suit is normally the beginnings of the main theme of the suit, so here a new beginning of mental acuity, sharp insight, and clear thinking.
A need to look at things differently, change our understandings and thought patterns. As we go through life our beliefs and knowing of how the world works and how we fit into the world, what we support and what we reject, is challenged.
We have a choice here, do we blindly hold onto our beliefs, or do we actually hear “the other side”, the side we have previously rejected.
The complete exposure and vulnerability of the central figure is also important here. To be able to embrace the message of this card completely, we have to expose ourselves completely, willingly, without reserve.
In my exploration of The Shadow and extending those concepts into the greater universe of experience, many things I have vehemently defended have been brought under the microscope, and when looked at from an objective viewpoint, suddenly lose validity and are exposed as dogma and control.
The Ace of Swords brings us to this juncture, put aside your passionate subjectivity, fuelled by your own wounds, agreements and disappointments, and actually listen to people with opposing views. Not listen to argue but listen to actually hear what they are saying.
It is my firm conviction that every person does the best they can with what they have, with the agreements they have made with reality, and the way they express those agreements.
An alarming practice that has been obvious to me over the last while, is the “shouting down” and oppression of opposing views and cancel culture. Instead of listening – maybe the “other side” has a point that can lead to your healing too.
Very often this cancellation of opposing views is a strong indication of narcissistic personality traits:
I am right and you are wrong therefore I am allowed to – in fact it is my “divine mission” to shout you down; abuse you; insult you; hurt you; even kill you and celebrate your death.
This doesn’t make me a bad person, a monster, a murderer or deranged, it makes me a saviour, a hero, and in religious terms, promises me a place in the divine sphere – heaven, nirvana, etc.
I call this religious thought because it is programmed into us under the guise of religions. If you are not a follower of Christ you are evil, possessed by the devil, and need to be “saved”, if you are not a devout follower of Islam, you are an infidel and need to be destroyed. Look around you and see clearly the loss of life, and terror through history based on these thoughts.
Maybe it is time we started hearing each other instead of killing each other?
The Ace of Swords brings new thoughts, new ways of looking at life, and new ideas. Embrace them, listen to them, even if you disagree with them, there may be something there for you.
I will give you an example for my experience. As many of you know I used to be adamantly against Christianity because of how I was treated by my parents and the church, to the point it was dangerous to anyone to wish me “Merry Christmas” without having their heads bitten off. As I grew up and matured, healed the wounds within myself, I suddenly realised that there are very valuable lessons in the bible, if you can see beyond the obvious manipulation and misrepresentation it is also laced with. There is much truth in all spiritual paths, those you follow and those you don’t.
Very often I found substantiation for my own “new” understandings of things in ancient religious texts that I had previously dismissed, that were only visible when I looked at the text objectively.
I have a little process I use, I call it; “Look a Little Deeper” – what people say is not always the truth, it is what they say to manipulate you to their way of thinking, particularly in the public sphere where votes, likes and follows, keeping the peace, keeping up appearances and being nice are valued.
Never judge a person by their public persona – if you don’t know the person well yourself, don’t know their motivations, fears and struggles, and above all their lives do not directly impact yours in your immediate environment, stay out of it.
If you have an emotional reaction to something that has no real impact on you, in your real life right now, then it has nothing to do with you – stay out of it. It is triggering something within you that needs attention – don’t kill the messenger, pay attention to the message.
Your mind is the only thing you can control, allow new thoughts in, look at them objectively, and decide for yourself if you want to accept them, even if they challenge your current understanding.
Remember the expression; “There but for the grace of God go I” – in other words, if your life, experiences and processes were the same as the person you are judging, you could be that person instead of the person you are.
We are all products of our experiences, the influence of the people and societies around us, and our choices and decisions about what we accept as truth and what we do not.
What is supporting this process, what processes can we use to help us here?
The Faerie’s Oracle – The Glanconer: illusion, delusion, lust, projection, clear-sight
One of the Faerie Challengers who bring us face to face with our fears, denials, delusions, traumas, confusions and misbehaviours. The Glanconer calls himself Smoothe Harry, that may be a little illusion of his own though.
As a Faery Challenger, when he shows up, you need to pay attention, he is here to show you things in a different light.
I am sure you have done this, I know I have. We desperately want something, a car, a house, a job, a person, whatever. Before we get it, we focus on how amazing it will be to have it, what our lives will look like with it etc. Yet when we get it, and we always will, suddenly it is not so grand, or it has it flaws, or it is disappointing in some way – hello online shopping lol – this is the Smothe Harry at work.
He doesn’t try to fool us, he is sly not deceptive, he just holds up a mirror. And we do the deception ourselves. Refusing to see the situation clearly, not paying attention to warning signs, holding onto our illusions and delusions and forgetting that, although the grass may appear greener on the other side, sometimes when we get there it is plastic grass, or painted concrete, or even a hologram the “Marketing Team” has created to get us to buy into what they are selling.
He will hold the delusional mirror reflection in front of us so we run towards him, as he steps aside at the last minute so we don’t see the cliff we fly off of.
He is here today to remind us not to make decisions based on lust or ego, to look clearly at what we want and what is around us, consider the “dark side” of what we are wanting – is it something we truly want.
Everyone talks about winning the lotto or receiving a fat bonus cheque or other large sums of money that will make everything better. Yet when we get there, we have to face taxes, “needy” friends and relatives, demands on our finances we never anticipated. There is a reason many lotto winners are worse off a year after they won the lotto than before the won it.
They don’t know how to navigate having abundance, how to manage abundance, and they go mad. They forget that money can run out, getting into debt based on current finances can lead to drama, taking the credit card offered by the bank may not be the boon you think it is.
Smoothe Harry is the epitome of the saying, be careful what you wish for, you will get it, and you are not going to like the outcome.
Relook at your manifestations, dreams and desires, are they based in fear and ego or love and spirit.
Do you have a messiah complex and fight for people that you do not know, try to make the world a better place, etc. Stop that – the world is what it is, you can only change the world from within yourself.
Some of the struggles you are trying to save people from are the very struggles they need to solve themselves to empower themselves, and you are disempowering them by interfering.
The Quantum Oracle – Playing it safe: Fenced in and protected
We have had this one before, lots of repeat cards coming up lately – are we still resisting their message?
Playing it safe is one of the most disempowering thoughts we can have. It indicates a total lack of trust in the universe and the process, hell I have done it for many years, I even had a moment this morning.
When I saw the central focus card I thought, holy moly, I am all for supporting the ideals and artwork in this deck but am I not pushing it too far with this one, and considered replacing it with the Ryder-Waite version.
So I reached out to two people I trust and respect (thank you – you know who you are lol), and they both told me in their way that I was being intimidated by fear and to stick to my truth – I was playing it safe, concerned how I would appear to others, worried I would offend people, instead of focussing on my truth and the truth of the card’s message.
Looking at this card, although everything within the fence is calm, peaceful and serene, beyond the fence are the fireworks, the riot of growth and new experiences, but she is ignoring them and pretending all is well and she is happy.
I am reminded here of a quote from The Prophet by Khalil Gibran.
“But if, in your fear you would seek only love’s peace and love’s pleasure, then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love’s threshing floor. Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears”
How can we ground this learning into our experience and move forward?
The Enchanted Map: Magical Map Shifter
When just the right person, or message, or a major shock or whatever comes across our path, we very often say things like, “God moves in mysterious ways”; “It is all part of God’s plan”; “The universe only brings us what we can handle”; etc.
What is happening is that your energy is shifting and changing with your conscious and unconscious thoughts and emotions, this is sending out signals that are connecting situations, people and experiences that connect to those signals, to you.
This is why I do not encourage protection rituals etc. If you are doing a ritual for protection, the motivation is fear, you don’t feel safe. So, what you are really doing is saying that you are not safe unless the ritual is performed and performed properly.
For you to be able to see the ritual’s effects, you need to have attacks and dangerous situations that you can be protected from. Can you see the “thought bubble” clearly now? You are creating dangerous situations so that you can feel powerful and protected.
If you find validation in saving abused animals, there must be abused animals for you to save right, so the question is are they there already, or are you finding, or creating the situations that animals are abused so that you can feel validated?
The Magical Map Shifter is here to help to see your thoughts, feelings and actions more clearly, pay attention!
Sacred Geometry Oracle Deck: Chakana: Progress
The Chakana is a square cross of the Andean people in South America. It relates to the Southern Cross in the night sky.
The concentric pattern that repeats outward connects to our life path, ever expanding, with different levels of similar experiences and processes.
We cannot experience the entirety of the human experience in one lifetime, so we incarnate with a limited perspective, ever expanding that perspective at different levels, with different but similar experiences as we expand through the levels.
Notice also that, although the pattern is similar, it expands and changes slightly as we move through awareness levels. As we expand ever outward, the central pattern gets smaller, but no less significant, it still remains the basis of the entire structure, so can never be dismissed or supressed completely.
The first 6 years of our lives we are like sponges sucking up everything in our reality as true, from 7 onwards, these things are challenged or re-enforced, but never leave us, they form part of what you might call our mental DNA.
We can try and supress them if we don’t like them, but they will come up again. So what do we do about this. We acknowledge them, we accept and embrace them as part of us, we re-interpret them, we re-asses our understanding of them.
The Chakana also reminds us that while our experience is immediate and personal, it is also part of the greater experience of the world, and that experience is based in our centre.
When you make the external your focus, you get lost and confused, it is actually all about you and your energy. The energy you are radiates through all of creation, so if you get angry at someone who differs from you, you are not defending anything, you are sending anger and hatred through the entire creation, there is no such thing as righteous anger, anger is anger, hatred is hatred, period.

Summary
Well!!! Some intense things here today. Let’s get into it then.
Our central focus today is the Ace of Swords, bringing clear-thinking, new thoughts, mental shifts and experiences. Reminding us to release cherished thought patterns and really hear opposing views and thoughts. Look at things differently, be totally vulnerable and open to receiving guidance from wherever it comes, analyse and explore with an open mind thoughts and ideas that we may not agree with.
Really be honest about whether we are holding our “truths” out of an ego and fear space and are blocking out alternative and contradictory views out of fear that they will destroy our carefully constructed persona.
The two cards supporting our central theme are the Glanconer and Playing it Safe. Make sure that the thoughts we hold dear are not part of a delusion we have created to keep us safe and protected, and are not actually leading us off the cliff of despair and destruction.
Our grounding cards, Magical Map Shifter and the Chakana help us to see, in our physical reality, the way spiritual and emotional energy manifests in our reality, how our paths evolve and grow, expanding on previous agreements and choices, and helping us to identify areas we may have made a decision that did not support our path, and re-interpreting the choice or even making a different one.
For me this one was hectic, I am shaking as I am writing this. So, a little reminder to myself, and to you. Take a breath, be open to new ideas, even ones your very being revolts against, try and understand that if your life were different, you may be having those experiences to, and although it may not directly be your experience, the witnessing of other’s experience and your interpretation of it are of value, allow others to have the experience they need to have.
Everyone does the best they can with what they have to work with, it may not be something we think we would do, but you don’t know what led the person to do it, so you can not judge them for doing it.
Without judgement allow others to be what they need to be. You can not control the world, keep your focus on yourself and your process, see the experience of others as a mirror and guide to things you are creating, seeing, feeling and experiencing and allow the process of life to flow.
Have a fab week!!

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
