Hi there

Hope you have had a good week so far, mine has been – interesting shall we say.  Let’s see what our cards have for us today…

As a reminder, the reading focuses firstly on the individual interpretations of the cards individually, and then a summary at the end.

The bulk of the “wisdom” is in the individual descriptions, even if you just read the summary for now, make time to read the individual interpretations, it will definitely help understanding the full message.

The below is based on my knowledge, experience, and interpretation; feel free to disagree and question me, we both grow that way.

Instead of letting anger and resentment poison our interaction, let’s grow together, even if that means travelling different paths.

Card by card explanation

Central energy focus
The StJinx Arcana: Eight of Pentacles: Mastery, skills development, high quality work, high standards, commitment, talent – introverted, unoriginal, fearful of the outside world, scattered thoughts, time wasting, impractical, unfocussed.

Often referred to as the artisan or craftsman card, the Eight of Pentacles shows our protagonist quietly, calmly working on his craft, surrounded by the tools of his trade, but also the evidence of his achievements.
He has a bandage on his left leg, he has been hurt in the achievement of his craft, but that is healing as it should. He is also left-handed maybe indicating that this is connected to our heart and soul, and being the suit of Pentacles, to our abundance and physical experience as well. Reminding us that a balance between the internal and external experience is the ideal.
He is also unshaven, maybe indicating that he is “in the zone” and all else fades around him.
As our central energy focus this week, this card brings into our awareness, not only the achievement of a certain level of skill in our experience, but an almost esoteric connection to soul, centre and the universe too. It reminds us that we are on the right path when everything seems to flow and work together.
Reaching our goals, being the person we chose to be, excelling in our craft sometimes requires pain and sacrifice. Surrendering who we think we are, who society, our ego etc wants us to, or need us to be, and becoming who we really are, where the essence of our truth or soul lies.
The Eight of Pentacles reminds us of the peace, focus, connection that is available once we surrender our “programming” and society’s demands on us and focus on our truth and the message of our soul.

What is supporting this process, what processes can we use to help us here?
The Faerie’s Oracle: Laiste – Moon's Daughter: Light cast in shadow, spiritual guidance, illumination, riddles.

One of the Faerie Guides and Guardians who devote time and energy to directly guide humanities gifts, talents and natural abilities. Their special focus is showing us and guiding us against our self-imposed limitations and self-talk, helping us to find and experience the joy of living.
Laiste often appears when times are dark, and you can’t find your way out of the shadows, fears and confusion. Her gentle moonlight shows us the way, gently and calmly. She guides us through the Gate of Illumination, helping us to understand the sacrifices we have made, and accept the feeling of loss that comes with it.
She disapproves of self-delusion and, what she calls, sleepwalking, wandering through life controlled by external programming, what others expect of us, and the delusions we surround ourselves with.
When she notices this happening, she will “draw clouds in front of the moon” and let us wander blindly until we fall in a bog, then she will laugh gently and say; “well now that you are awake, we need to talk”, and gently guide us back to our truth.
She encourages to trust the unknown and see it as an adventure full of new experiences and excitement. Have you been “bogged down” with dark thoughts and shadows lately, maybe it is Laiste helping you to find your truth, allow yourself to fall in the bog, let go of your preconceived ideas of who or what you are, and try something that excites you, or at least interests you.

The Quantum Oracle – Letting Go: Releasing attachment

One of the biggest blocks to manifestation and creation, is our habit of becoming attached to things, thoughts, ideas, people etc. We think we can not live without them, and we will “die” if we do not have them in our life. Then something happens and they do go, and our lives fall apart.
Let’s have a look at what is going on in this card. Our protagonist is holding onto two dog leashes, the third has already broken away. There are three doors in infinity, one closed, one partially open, and one wide open with light and beauty streaming from it.
She is standing on shifting sands, being drawn strongly toward the open door, but the three dogs are all pulling her towards the closed door, and partially open door, her body is contorted and the stress and tension clearly visible on her face.
Obviously, this situation cannot continue, she will be ripped apart, so she needs to do something, what can she do?
She has two options: she can turn her back on the open door and follow the dogs, or she can release the leashes and move towards the open door.
Look around you and at your current experience. Are you repeating cycles because you are used to them, and they may be painful, but are strangely comforting too.
Are you feeling caught between who you thought you were, and who you feel you could be if only .. (fill in blank here) … now is the time to consider the options, feel your way though, and find a way forward that feeds your soul, not your friends, family, partners, bosses soul, yours.

How can we ground this learning into our experience and move forward?
The Enchanted Map: Deep Freeze: everything has it’s season, now is the time to rest.

Put a pause on activity and decisions for the moment, mull over them, digest them, let your experiences calm and settle. Self-care and self-love activities are good here; meditate, not to learn or experience, just to be still; mindfulness exercises and processes, release judgements and decisions for now, just sit with what you have, realising that there is a lot of change, and perspectives may need to shift, but let the answers come to you when you aren’t looking, don’t go searching for answers you think you want.
Mourn what has gone, love and forgive those that have hurt you and breathe!

Sacred Geometry Oracle Deck: Octahedron - child

Often as “mature” adults, we over-think, over-analyse, over-dramatise our thoughts and feelings. Trying to “do the right thing”, “live up to expectations”, “save the world” an on and on and on.
The octahedron is another of the platonic solids that holds a cosmic wisdom. With its eight triangular faces, it holds the energy of innocence, excitement and childlike joy (the triangle representing the spark of divine creation (mother-father-child) and the eight sides representing abundance).
Lighten up!! Take a breath, laugh, explore something you are curious about, be a little reckless maybe, find your magical centre again, at least know it is there, and it will be in your awareness again soon.

Wednesday Wisdom is a free service, and you are welcome to share it if you wish, just please respect my work and share it in its entirety.

Summary

What we need to know this week is that, although we may feel battered and bruised, beaten down and maybe even worthless, this is only part of the process of releasing pre-conceived ideas, concepts we have long held dear and maybe people and situations we have become attached to because they are what we know.
The eight of pentacles, reminds us of the zone when everything is working together to create a new reality, and although this may not feel like that yet, it will.
As supporting cards, Laiste – daughter of the moon, guides us forward out of the shadows and into the light, sometimes “clouding” our vision so we land in a bog to wake us up, but gently and loving showing us the way forward, Letting Go
carries the warning of attachments holding us back, sometimes, for us to move forward, we have to release thoughts, identities, feelings, things that we are attached to.
To bring this into physical reality, we need to release our stresses, our have to’s, and must do’s and rest, find joy in what is not what we expected, and let ourselves be in the moment for a bit, releasing dark thoughts, feelings and pain, and accepting that life is still beautiful, that joy still exists and that we deserve to be happy. No need to make frantic choices now, let things flow for a bit and the choices will no longer seem impossible, but obvious.
Hope this helps – have a fab week!!

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
