Quite an intense few weeks, looking at the cards today, it appears things may be moving forward.

Correction: Last week I referred to the shape in the Sacred Geometry card as a Star Tetrahedron, the correct name for the image on the card is the hexagram. The Star Tetrahedron is the three-dimensional version of the hexagram – apologies for the mix-up.

Interesting, both our supporting cards have visited us before, the Singer of Transfiguration only last week, and Victim Mentality on the 9th of July, so let’s have a look at how they interact with the other cards today!

As a reminder, the reading focuses firstly on the individual interpretations of the cards individually, and then a summary at the end.

The bulk of the “wisdom” is in the individual descriptions, even if you just read the summary for now, make time to read the individual interpretations, it will help understanding the full message.

The below is based on my knowledge, experience, and interpretation; feel free to disagree and question me, we both grow that way. Instead of letting anger and resentment poison our interaction, let’s grow together, even if that means travelling different paths.

Card by card explanation

Central energy focus
The StJinx Arcana: 9 of Pentacles:
Achieving Self-sufficiency. Abundance, independence, leisure, earned rewards, luxury, overworked, depletion, pessimistic, thriving in chaos, isolation, paranoia

The nines normally show the ending of a cycle, time to take stock of what you have around you, what you have worked towards, the rewards of your labour.  The Pentacles normally indicate cycles in the financial or abundance arena.

Our friend is standing tall surrounded by all his achievements, enjoying his “pay day” so to speak. Releasing the stress of the last few weeks and just being with what he has around him right now.

When we go through rough patches, and all is said and done, it is easy to focus on what we could have done differently, or “better”, to beat ourselves up for our “failures” and “mistakes”.

Yes, that is part of the process but it is also important to give yourself credit for what you have achieved, maybe it looks different to what you expected it to look like, but there are gifts and joy in what you have now too.

This process of reflection needs some tranquillity and peace, so it may be a good idea to find your own space of peace and tranquillity.  Remember that total solitude and isolation, while tempting, is not the best approach for social beings – and we are social beings.

So while it is good to “hide away” in our own peace, stepping outside of it is also a good idea.  Find the balance and embrace the successes as well as the perceived “failures” you have experienced lately.

Take a breath – what’s done is done, decisions have been made and executed. Take a breath and let yourself find comfort in the release of stress.

Another cycle will start soon, for now celebrate the completion – enjoy yourself – you have earned this respite.

What is supporting this process, what processes can we use to help us here?
The Faerie’s Oracle: The Singer of Transfiguration: Transformation, Transcendence, Metamorphosis.

Another one of the Singers of the Realms, a primal energy of the Universe.  Whose job it is to sing the underlying songs of the universe into our reality. They have been referred to by many names, through many religions and have been called angels, devas, gods, dakinis and many other names.

They don’t care what we call them, as long as we call on them. They are the Great Ones; they show us and the faery folk what we have the potential to ultimately become. They hold the vision of our current truth and our promised truth.

They guide us in the direction of our truth, and comfort us when we fall off the path. Their energy is pure unconditional love and compassion.

When we ask the Singers to help us, we will very often not get what we think we want, but rather what we need to be whole in whichever aspect they are focussing on for us.  So, look for unexpected and exceptional, not the expected and boring.

The Singer of Transfiguration tells us we have come through the gate, passed the initiation, and are now entering a new state of being, and this is a good thing!

Yea, it feels crappy, but that is because it is different. Things will never be the same again, you can never look at things the same way again. This Singer’s bright colours and joyful, passionate energy heralds a time of fulfilment and accomplishment, even if you can’t see it right now.

The Quantum Oracle – Victim Mentality: Take your power back

It often feels like the world is against us, that the deck is stacked against us, the world is beating us around.  Our usual reaction to this is to look for a perpetrator, someone or something that is doing this to us, that hates us, someone or something that has it in for us.

This is never the case, it is a programmed behaviour.  We are taught from birth to “fit in”, “follow the rules”, “be what is expected”, or we will be punished in some way or another.

And that punishment will be decided by some arbitrary force, or person outside of ourselves – call it god, karma, or whatever. The guidelines to pleasing this “force” are also confusing, often hidden, and beyond our control.

This leads us into one of the most destructive thought patterns in our experience, Victim Mentality. The sense that we are powerless to control our fate, that we have failed and are being punished, so we just need to “grin and bear it”, “turn the other cheek”, “take it like a man”, and carry on – making ourselves “better”, or “more worthy”, or “more deserving” of approval by others, be they people, gods, unseen forces or whatever.

While we are at cause of everything in our lives, so is everyone else in their lives.  The way energy works is that it “clumps” together, like energy to like energy, this is why teachers often tell us to keep positive people around, look at who we surround ourselves with etc.

Another way this “clumping” generates is that each “grouping” be it family, work environment, neighbourhood, church, political party, etc. generates a “clump” of energy from the combined energy of the individuals within the group.

So, although we may think that we are focussed on the energy we want to achieve in our space, it is often impacted by the energy of others in that same space or “clump” of energy.

This is where the “weak-minded”, fearful members of the group start trying to control the group and manipulate it into their way of thinking – the “Karens” of the world – side note – did you know the accepted masculine version of “Karens” is “Kevins” – how rude!!, anyway moving along.

This is all very intimidating, and a bit of a mind-fuck. With all this energy around us, influencing us, how can we not be a victim of the energy? How can we claim our own power with all this “working against us”?

Do we need to move, get a new job, cut people out of our lives, destroy relationships, “fix” things, lock our doors and stay inside, become a hermit?

Sometimes, yes, but more often it is just about changing the way we look at things, by claiming our own power back, by saying no, and changing our energy, the way we feel about things, the way we look at things. When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

Activism doesn’t change the world, all it does is further entrench the thought into the “collective consciousness”.

What does change the world is changing ourselves, changing the way we look at and interpret things, so instead of looking at things as a punishment by some external force, rather look at the way you are taking the situation on board, the experience you are choosing to have, the conclusions you are drawing from the “external evidence”, these are all programmed into us from birth – is there another interpretation, another way of seeing things, a way of interpreting a situation in a way that empowers you?

The more power we give external forces or other people over how we see ourselves, what is “right” and “wrong” or “good” or “bad”; the more we sacrifice our own ability to create, and more importantly, interpret our own experience.

What I find fascinating about this card, is the rope around the man’s wrist – it is tied tightly and securely around his wrist, but very loosely around the bedpost, one hard tug and it will be released, or even picking up the bed briefly will release the rope.

The man is trapped in his devastation because he has been trained to believe that he is confined.

Interesting story – circus elephants were controlled using this principle.  As babies they were secured tightly to big stakes in the ground that they couldn’t move no matter how hard they tried, over time they “programmed” themselves to believe that when the rope was around their ankle, they were trapped.

As adult elephants, these “programmed” elephants could be restrained by loosely hooking a rope around a small tent peg tapped into the ground near them, they didn’t even try to break free.

Our external “programming” does this to us too. Look at where you are, how you have defined yourself, and what you are allowing to control you, are you a “programmed” elephant, or can you move forward with just a little tug?

Let’s look at an example. You have a manager at work that is a bit narcissistic, she seems to have the ear of important people, takes credit for your work, sabotages your progress, always comes out “smelling like roses” regardless of the chaos she causes, maybe even wins awards no-one can work out how.

You know that most other people in the environment, both higher and lower than you in the hierarchy know she doesn’t really deserve her position, or the accolades she receives, many people see right thorough her, and yet she is not stopped and keeps on sowing chaos wherever she goes.

Let’s do the victim thing first: She has the power to destroy your career, so don’t piss her off.  Challenging her results in attacks and chaos, so you quietly fume and let her “beat you up”, working harder, destroying your own peace and balance, just to get through. Slowly destroying your own passion, and joy to make sure she is happy.

Or you go on the attack, arguing with her, reporting her, setting traps for her to fall in, making legal or HR cases against her, calling up discrimination laws, and other HR policies. The result of this is that you are then seen as antagonistic, you instil fear in others, you lose focus on your work as you fight her. You get her back up and make yourself her enemy, so her attacks on you become stronger and more violent.

Neither of these scenarios is going to work within your integrity and is going to create a never-ending, ever intensifying, cycle of destruction for both of you.

You are either going to become a doormat or create a persona for yourself that your soul can not live with.

How do you handle this without destroying yourself in some way?

Do some inner work first. What aspects of her personality make you uncomfortable or hurt you – why is that, what triggers do you have that her behaviour feeds into?

Next realise that you have the power to change the way she impacts your experience, you may not be able to control her behaviour, but you can control your response to her behaviour, what you take on board.  Once you know your triggers, you can de-programme them within yourself, so her behaviour will no longer trigger your wound.

Next up is forgiveness, it is very rare that someone is truly born a monster, our experiences, and programming teaches us to behave in monstrous ways. These lessons then become our agreements that we accept without question (refer the Introduction to the Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz).

She knows what she has done to get where she has, she is aware, consciously or unconsciously, that she is on unstable ground and your work ethic, mental acuity, emotional maturity etc. frightens her.

A frightened animal will more often than not attack. Understand she may be afraid – it is important to note here that this is not about her experience, but your experience of her, and the “facts” of the matter or the “real reason” behind her behaviour is not important or relevant to your experience of her or how you process your interactions with her.

Once you can truly see that, you can act with more compassion towards her, not feed into her aggression and make it worse, but dispel it so that it no longer impacts your interactions.

You will also feel stronger and more grounded and safer in your experience.

How can we ground this learning into our experience and move forward?
The Enchanted Map: Education
Life is full of “lessons” – be teachable

Wisdom comes from experiencing, and interpreting life. Often, we are presented with situations we feel we are totally unequipped for.

The education card is about learning and experiencing, finding our way in unknown territory, expanding our experience, becoming wiser and expanding our consciousness.

Ask questions, do some research, be prepared to let go of outdated theories and concepts of who you perceive yourself to be, explore new options of being.

By embracing the experience; unexpected, unpleasant or even downright scary; and feeling your way through. Finding a level of excitement even in the new vision of your life even.

Sacred Geometry Oracle Deck: Steam Cave – elemental forces:

The Dodecahedron is one of the 5 Platonic Solids. In sacred geometry, the platonic solids are often referred to as the building blocks of creation and can be drawn three-dimensionally on Metron’s Cube (An image derived from the extended Flower of Life or creative blueprint).

Geometrically, each platonic solid has equal angles, edges, and faces and would fit perfectly within a sphere, the points touching the edge of the sphere in an equidistant, predictable manner.

The dodecahedron represents divine thought, and the card appears here to remind us that our physical experience is always a representation of our divine thought, and that there is a much bigger picture involved here.

It is the three-dimensional representation of the number 5 and has 12 faces, each one being a pentagon.  The card also shows both two-dimensional versions of the number 5, the pentagon, and pentagram (star-shape).

As we have discussed before, the number 5 represents personal power, the dodecahedron expands that personal power into the divine sphere, in balance with divine or cosmic thought.

Take the time to connect to divine thought and look at your experience from a different perspective as an aspect of the divine thought manifested in the physical experience. Do not loose connection with the physical experience, but see it reflected on a bigger canvas.

Summary

Righty-oh, let’s do this! Our central focus for the week is achieving self-sufficiency, abundance, and the completing of a cycle. We are reminded to celebrate our achievements as well as accept our “mistakes” and perceived failures. Focus on the act of creation, not the creation itself that may be flawed.

We are encouraged to look to ourselves for answers, and re-evaluate our perceptions based on what we have created. Accepting that what is, is. What is past is past. We can not change it, but we can change the way we see or experience it.

There is also a warning here not to retreat too far from the world and truly see what the world is mirroring to us too.

Our returning support cards remind us that not only will we create unexpected results through the influence of the Singers of Transfiguration, much bigger results and truer to ourselves if truth be told, but we are also warned about making ourselves victims of others thoughts and actions.  We are always at cause of our experience, and we need to take responsibility for our experience.

Our grounding cards remind us to ground these experiences into the physical by expanding our knowledge and wisdom by experiencing that knowledge, but also not to loose sight of the divine aspect to our experience.

A bit of an “up in the air” message today, but for me, a reminder that whatever happens in our experience, not only did we have a hand in creating it, but, in our creation of our experience we have also sent a “shockwave” though the universe impacting on everything in it. And once we take responsibility for our role in the creation, only then can we allow ourselves to create a new reality for ourselves.

Hope this helps – have a fab week!!

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
