Hi there

Hope you have had a good week so far, mine has been – interesting shall we say.  Let’s see what our cards have for us today…

As a reminder, the reading focuses firstly on the individual interpretations of the cards individually, and then a summary at the end.

The bulk of the “wisdom” is in the individual descriptions, even if you just read the summary for now, make time to read the individual interpretations, it will definitely help understanding the full message.

The below is based on my knowledge, experience, and interpretation; feel free to disagree and question me, we both grow that way.

Instead of letting anger and resentment poison our interaction, let’s grow together, even if that means travelling different paths.

Card by card explanation

Central energy focus
The StJinx Arcana: Five of Cups: Experiencing Disillusion. Discontent, regret, loss, sadness, failure, misguided goals, pessimism, grief, regret, insatiable, greed, cutting your losses, getting lost in process, ignoring simple truths.

A lot to unpack here.  Our friend seems to be beaten down by life, on his hands and knees, devastated by loss, despondent, and tired.  Bogged down by disappointment and life in general, maybe even ready to give up on his dreams and hopes.

In front of him are 3 spilled cups, and his focus and attention is on them, mourning what he sees as loss and failure.

Very often when we visualise and focus on what we want in our lives, we have a certain picture or image of what that would look like, when it looks different to what we expected, we believe we have failed.

A simple example of this – many people are very concerned by the environmental pollution in our cities etc and spend much of their energy on protesting and focussing on fixing that and brow-beating others to do the same.

So, in 2020, the universe goes – ok, the best and simplest way of sorting out the pollution in cities is to empty them – presenting universal lockdown – ta da! The air in our cities cleared up as requested – not quite what you were looking for? Oops!

When we focus on manifestation, we very rarely think about what it would mean practically. It is all well and good dancing among the daises and blowing rainbows out your arse, but at some point, you are going to need to “come down to earth” so to speak.

We are physically manifested in a physical reality, and while the spiritual reality, or what some may consider the “ideal” appears to be much more pleasant, this is the reality we are in, and we cannot discount the physical laws of this reality.

We can work with them, we can look at them in a different way, perceive them differently, sure, but we cannot break them because breaking them is ALWAYS temporary, and ALWAYS causes destruction.

The Earth and our reality are living things, and just like us, constantly striving for balance, so when the balance is damaged, the “blueprint” kicks in to rebalance things.

I often look around at the world and the insanity reigning at the moment and wonder how the hell we got here.  If you think about it though, it is quite simple.

For many, many years “spiritual types” have been raising the light, creating “christ consciousness grids”, sacrificing themselves for the “greater good” etc..

The energy of the earth is one of polarity, it is what makes our reality so powerful and grows our souls, (the hermetic principles of polarity and gender are worth exploring here), and everything is designed to be in balance.

The energy of our reality is now so focussed on “being right”, “doing the right thing”, “being a good person”, “fixing the bad stuff in us”, “fixing the world” etc. that our reality is out of balance, and will naturally tend towards “darker” aspects, criminal activity, anger, aggression, domination, tyranny etc, to re-balance the integrity of our reality.

These activities are also often practiced by the very people “doing good” for “the greater good”, or like South Africa, fighting racism, by becoming even more racist, just focussed differently. Victims of narcissistic abuse, becoming narcissists themselves, and many other things.

To us, this looks like a total failure of our spirituality and religions, so we fight harder to “do good”, unbalancing the energy even further.

What we have failed to realise is that, from our physical manifestation perspective, light and dark need to be experienced separately for them to have any meaning. You cannot experience love if you don’t know fear, you couldn’t experience the beauty of a sunrise, or sunset, if there was no night.

From a more “aware” perspective, we can understand that dark does not exist, it is merely the absence of light; but in our physical experience they must exist in opposition for us to have the experience of them.

So, by fighting “darkness” as “evil” and making it our life mission to destroy “evil” within ourselves and the world, we are farting against thunder and destroying our reality.

Not only are we fighting something that, in truth, does not actually exist, we are wasting energy on external change, rather than embracing and accepting ourselves exactly as we are, loving ourselves as we are and living in the fullness of who we really are, an aspect of the divine, manifest in physical reality to experience and embrace all aspects of this reality, and grow the universal consciousness.

This is the process of the Shadow – Yes Madam J, I know, I know, I am getting it sorted – the course will be re-released soon – this year – promise!

This is only half the story of the card though, it is the five of cups and we have only highlighted three, where are the others? They are behind him, still full, still upright and glistening in the sun. On a firm foundation and in front of a beautiful cityscape.

So, what’s that about? This brings the true message of the card, behind the apparent despair and devastation, there is a new life.  It may look very different to what you expect, but it has been part of your manifestation too.

We will always get exactly what we give energy too.  If what you are experiencing does not appear to be matching what you are focussing on, or is not what you expected, see if you can look at things differently, from a different angle maybe, and maybe you will see that it is there, just in a way you did not expect, or maybe something has manifested that you thought was your ideal, but now it is here, doesn’t work for you – back to the drawing board then.

Feel your way through, maybe some of your fears impacted the manifestation, maybe by rejecting something, you actually energised it?

Take a breath and look around, you might amaze yourself.

What is supporting this process, what processes can we use to help us here?
The Faerie’s Oracle: The Singer of Transfiguration: Transformation, Transcendence, Metamorphosis.

Another one of the Singers of the Realms, a primal energy of the Universe.  Whose job it is to sing the underlying songs of the universe into our reality. They have been referred to by many names, through many religions and have been called angels, devas, gods, dakinis and many other names.

They don’t care what we call them, as long as we call on them. They are the Great Ones; they show us and the faery folk what we have the potential to ultimately become. They hold the vision of our current truth and our promised truth.

They guide us in the direction of our truth, and comfort us when we fall off the path. Their energy is pure unconditional love and compassion.

When we ask the Singers to help us, we will very often not get what we think we want, but rather what we need to be whole in whichever aspect they are focussing on for us.  So, look for unexpected and exceptional, not the expected and boring.

The Singer of Transfiguration tells us we have come through the gate, passed the initiation, and are now entering a new state of being, and this is a good thing!

Yea, it feels crappy, but that is because it is different. Things will never be the same again, you can never look at things the same way again. This Singer’s bright colours and joyful, passionate energy heralds a time of fulfilment and accomplishment, even if you can’t see it right now.

The Quantum Oracle – Milestone: Acknowledgement and Celebration.

The Milestone card is telling us that it is time to embrace our new reality, make the changes required with an open and loving heart, and celebrate our achievements.

If you are planning or expecting to make life changes, now would be the time.  Been wanting to stop smoking, embrace a healthier lifestyle, or make other big changes in your life but not sure when to start – now is the time!

How can we ground this learning into our experience and move forward?
The Enchanted Map: The Wizard of Awareness your soul knows best, be still and observe.

The Wizard of Awareness epitomises the concept of mindfulness, being in the “now” – damn I am so sick of hearing that, don’t know about you, but it is a valuable insight, and one we need to spend time with.

Mindfulness is about stopping and just being in the moment without judgement, criticism or emotional drama. Looking around without our expectations clouding the view.

When things are crazy, chaotic and devastating around us, it is very easy to get caught up in it and carried away with the tide so to speak.

The Wizard of Awareness is here to remind us to stop. Take a breath. Drop our expectations. Accept the truth of where we are. Stop fighting it.

You cannot see your reflection in a rough sea, take a moment to let the waters calm and really look at yourself. Yes, things are changing, maybe at this moment you think for the worse, but nothing is ever 100% “bad” or 100% “good”.

One of the first steps to healing is fully accepting what is here. You cannot change or embrace something you cannot see.  Take the time to see clearly, knowing that, even when we think we may be being “punished” or suffering consequences of our “bad” decisions, that this is never true.  The Universe/God/Spirit never punishes, just presents consequences so we can grow and expand, maybe into something we have never considered before.

Sacred Geometry Oracle Deck: Steam Cave – elemental forces:

Interesting that last week we had the triangle, and this week we have the triangle again, this time in the form of the Star Tetrahedron (more commonly known as the Star of David) multiplied many times over an image of medicinal baths in a healing cave.

This card brings in the elemental forces of our physical reality. As mentioned before, we must never forget that although we are aspects of the divine, we are also physical beings in a physical reality.

The star tetrahedron reminds us of this and is in some ways like the Yin-Yang symbol. It has also been used to illustrate the balance between masculine (upward pointing triangle) and feminine (downward pointing triangle) in ourselves and in our world.

In this position of a grounding card, it also reminds us to focus on grounding and calming ourselves. Reconnecting to the Earth from our new perspective, reconnecting, not only to the truth of our spiritual aspects, but also to the physical world we inhabit.

Wednesday Wisdom is a free service, and you are welcome to share it if you wish, just please respect my work and share it in its entirety.

Summary

As I was doing the cards today, I glanced across at my email and saw one headed, “You are not broken, you are becoming”, and that really encapsulates today’s Wednesday Wisdom in one sentence.

Starting with the 5 of Cups. Five is numerologically the number associated with personal empowerment and finding your own power, as our central thought focus this week it reminds us that in this process, we may become disillusioned, soul-tired and worn out when our needs and wants do not appear to be satisfied, or we are faced with a tough or difficult situation.

The important thing to be aware of here is that sometimes things we believe to be critical in our lives need to be sacrificed and released for us to fully embrace our growth and expansion.  When things are dark and gloomy, we forget that this is not the whole picture, look up, there is always hope.  Maybe a very different life to what you anticipated, but still a life with promise, joy and love.

The two supporting cards – The Singer of Transfiguration and The Milestone card energise this process and remind us to celebrate the new beginning, embrace the possibilities and challenges of a new understanding and way of being.

Grounded by the Wizard of Awareness from a new deck – The Enchanted Map by Colette Baron-Reid – and the Steam Cave. The message here is to stop and breathe, accept our new reality, embrace its possibilities, and use the elemental forces of nature to balance and calm us.  Maybe set-up an elemental altar and spend some time with each element (Earth, Air, Fire and Water).

Do some mindfulness exercises, for example, light an candle and breathe deeply for a few minutes, allow the expectations, concepts of who you are, beliefs in whatever to fall away, and focus only on your breath, how it feels in your body, how the blood feels moving through your veins, feel your environment, without fear or judgement, accept it as it is.

Focus purely on how you are feeling now and accepting it as your truth – don’t make plans, or judge it as more or less than expected, just accept it is and that’s ok. Try it on for a bit.

Hope this helps – have a fab week!!

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
