Hi there

Wednesday wisdom time, it has been a crazy time in my life the last few weeks, let’s see what the cards have to say to help us out this week.

Just a reminder, the below is based on my knowledge, experience, and interpretation; feel free to disagree and question me, we both grow that way.

Instead of letting anger and resentment poison our interaction, let’s grow together, even if that means travelling different paths.

Card by card explanation

Central energy focus
The StJinx Arcana: Eight of Cups: Hopeful discovery: walking away, abandonment, letting go, moving on, escape, search for truth, hard to please, never satisfied, directionless wandering, opportunist, emotional vampire

A lot has happened, and we have had a lot of varied experiences, both “positive” and “negative”, but there is still a sense of longing, a feeling that we haven’t really “got to the bottom” of this yet. More experiences await.

We have also done some “inner work” and maybe started to get a feeling that the truth we have known is not the complete truth, and there is more out there.

We need to dig a little deeper maybe.  Look beyond the obvious, to deeper layers and levels of the situation. Look at the situation.

Have you stopped searching at a truth that you have, until now, considered inviolate? A truth that you have not questioned because you have previously decided that it was true through your experience and knowledge.

Now maybe the time to question it from your new vision and perspective, having expanded your knowledge and experience.  Maybe it was a useful truth for where you were then, but it is now hampering your progression forward because you have evolved to a different level of being?

The eights are always positive cards, even if they first appear not to be.  The eight is expansion, manifestation and abundance, often hidden by self-imposed traps and pitfalls. The trap here is maybe your fear of leaving behind a comfortable understanding of the universe and your experience, and to set-out in an unknown direction, with outcomes you cannot predict.

Or have you found a truth that you are not comfortable with, and searching high and low for a reason not to embrace it because you don’t like it, or what it represents to you. Have you found a space that feeds your soul, but your ego is pushing you to “do better” according to external rules?

Are you wandering about, confusing yourself, because you refuse to actually see the truth and beauty around you right now?

What is supporting this process, what processes can we use to help us here?
The Faerie’s Oracle: The Guardian of the Gate: Passages to a new life, Openings, Gatekeeping.

The Guardian of the Gate is one of the Singers of the Realms, a primal energy of the Universe.  Their job is to sing the underlying songs of the universe into our reality. The have been referred to by many names, through many religions and have been called angels, devas, gods, dakinis and many other names.

They don’t care what we call them, as long as we call on them. They are the Great Ones; they show us and the faery folk what we have the potential to ultimately become. The hold the vision of our current truth and promised truth.

They guide us in the direction of our truth, and comfort us when we fall off the path. Their energy is pure unconditional love and compassion.

When we ask the Singers to help us, we will very often not get what we think we want, but rather what we need to be whole in whichever aspect they are focussing on for us.  So look for unexpected and exceptional, not the expected and boring.

The Guardian of the Gate’s purpose is to ease the passage from one realm to another and to block the passage of that which is not ready to pass.

Very often we may think that we are ready, or we are embracing a truth or experience, but all we are doing is saying the “right” words and performing the “right” actions, but our core energy is not shifting to match.

Like saying a standard prayer or mantra.  When we start saying or chanting it, the energy swells and we feel fabulous, after a time though, it becomes rote and mundane, and instead of giving the process the same focus and attention we initially did because it was new and exciting, we say the words but lose the meaning and the connection, and the seem to stop working.

The problem is not the chant or prayer, but our focus and attention.  Change it up a bit, do something different, stop doing it for a while.  The Guardian at the Gate is not going to let you through if your core energy hasn’t shifted no matter how hard you “work” to “get it right”.

Relax, focus gently and allow your heart to lead the process.  Be prepared to release ideas, beliefs etc. that your ego puts in the way and feel the truth of what you are doing.

The Guardian of the Gate is not going to let you pass unless you are truly there. They are not being mean or vicious, or victimising you, they are protecting you.  If you enter a realm or space, you are not ready for, you will be damaged and hurt, they don’t want that for you.

It is also a good idea to check in with the Guardian of the Gate periodically anyway, in case you are not giving yourself enough credit and are ready to pass through, but you doubt yourself or your abilities.  They can not lie, and see through you to your core, so if they essential core shift is there, they will open the gate for you, whether you believe you are ready or not.

The Quantum Oracle – The Loving Woman: Tender-hearted feminine energy.

We have met the Loving Man in our Wednesday Wisdom before; the Loving Woman is his feminine counterpart.

She represents the need to be supporting and caring to others, and especially to yourself.

“Be the change”, if you want to use a cliché that has become very common lately. As you offer love and compassion to others, it is reflected to you.

Big note here though, being loving and compassionate often means learning to say no and allowing others to learn through their own experience and pain.

Enabling others to be victims does nothing more than make them dependent on others and you. It is also disempowering and destructive to self-esteem building and learning to trust yourself.

How can we ground this learning into our experience and move forward?
The Psychic Tarot: Disruption traditionally The Tower

One of the most dreaded cards in the traditional tarot for most people, The Tower shows complete destruction and “falling apart” of our lives.

Thanks, been there done that, you might say, Disruption is also an opportunity to rebuild your life with a stronger and firmer foundation.  Not build on fear, but on love and strength.

Fear, limited thinking and an unbalanced ego weaken the foundation of our experience.

The Disruption card comes along to not only warn us that things could get scary for a bit, but also to remind us that we are not perfect, not matter how “holy”, “divinely guided”, or “special” we think we are.

We are human AND spiritual combined, and as such, sometimes our very core beliefs of who we are in the physical needs to be shaken, taken away, or destroyed for us to find, explore and embrace a healthier, more loving and compassionate aspect of who we are.

Often, as we evolve and grow, we make decisions about who we are, and what we are about etc.  Don Miguel Ruis calls these decisions agreements.

While an agreement may work well for you for many years, they can also become traps that keep us stuck in a mental picture of who we are that is no longer true to our souls and spirit.

I highly recommend the book The Four Agreements written by Don Miguel Ruiz, and The Fifth Agreement he wrote with his son explaining and expanding Toltec wisdom teachings. In particular, the Introduction where agreements are explained in detail.

Sacred Geometry Oracle Deck: Triangle:

Three is an important number in Numerology & Sacred Geometry and represents the birth portal of light. The triangle is the geometric representation of the number three.

At the top of the card, you can see it super imposed over the Vesica Pisces (The shape formed when two circles intersect, the glow around the two tringles is also in the shape of two hearts mirroring each other, and show the first step to love and healing is to heal yourself, before you can see that love reflected in a partner, or other people.

The triangle, and the number three, represent creation on the physical plane. Let’s look at this through the process of conception.

First you start with one (1) – you, learning growing and experiencing in relation to others.  Two (2) comes along with an apparently opposite and yet compatible partner. When you bring the union of opposites into the equation, you create three (3), a new life.

The number three and the triangle often come up when discussing divine relationships. Maiden – Mother – Crone, Youth – Father – Sage, Morning – Afternoon – Evening, Father – Son – Holy Spirit, and many others.

The triangle is actually the strongest and most stable shape in the physical world, and is the least likely to buckle, bend or get deformed through external pressure.

So, in terms of its appearance here, it reminds us that a balance between body, mind and soul must stay strong and stable in our physical reality.  When one of these weakens, so does the whole structure.  So it important to pay attention to all aspects of our being to stay happy, healthy and grounded.

Wednesday Wisdom is a free service, and you are welcome to share it if you wish, just please respect my work and share it in its entirety.

Summary

We are reminded this week that it is often necessary to leave behind cherished beliefs, agreements, beliefs in who and what we are and how the universe works, and to set off investigating unknown and unexplored areas of belief and understanding. Learn from your past, sure, but don’t live there.  Things can look very different from another perspective.

Supported by the Guardian of the Gate, who will not only stop us stepping through if we are not truly ready but will also guide us through when we are and doubt ourselves. Also supporting us is the Loving Woman, who reminds us to be gentle with ourselves, and each other, remembering that enabling by misguided compassion is even more dangerous than not having compassion at all.

To ground this week’s central focus, we have disruption and the Triangle. Disruption reminding us that, when we bring new awareness into our lives, sometimes the things holding earlier perspectives in place need to be destroyed, broken down and rebuilt. Through destruction comes creation.  The Triangle reminds us that this rebuilding needs to be based on a strong foundation of body, mind, and soul, not just one or the other, but all working together.

Hope this helps – have a fab week!!

The Desiderata
By Max Ehrmann ©1927

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
