Hi there
Time for some Wednesday Wisdom, so let’s see what the cards have for us this week.
Just a reminder, the below is based on my knowledge, experience, and interpretation, feel free to disagree, and question me, we both grow that way. Instead of letting anger and resentment poison our interaction, let’s grow together, even if that means travelling different paths.
Card by card explanation
Central energy focus
The StJinx Arcana: Eight of Wands:
Hopeful activity – movement, sudden change, excitement, quick decision-making, speed, apprehension, concern, overthinking, avoiding action, holding back potential.
Our central focus this week is swift and hopeful action. While sometimes it is good to sit and think about things, it is also important to not use the thinking about things as a delaying tactic.
Swift, decisive action is called for once you know what you want in your life.
Stop vacillating backwards and forwards, make a decision already. There is in truth no “right” or “wrong” action, only actions with consequences.
Trust yourself and your truth right now and decide. Enjoy the ride and embrace the experience you have chosen.
What is supporting this process, what processes can we use to help us here?
The Faerie’s Oracle: Sairie, the Fairy Godmother: Gifts, talents, grace, helpful experiences.
One of the Sidhe (pronounced shee), the People of the Hills are the Lords and Ladies of Faery, the Old Ones, the Wise Ones. They take the music of the Singers or the Realm, and manifest it into the physical reality with joy and love.
The energy they release and channel is pure power. What we do with it is our responsibility as it can be used to expand and guide, or contract and control, and the consequences of our choices are ours to bear.
Sairie, the Fairy Godmother is pure grace and kindness, she brings gifts of peace, and often abundance and shows us little miracles and ways out of situations we think there is no escape from.
She doesn’t do it because we deserve it, or don’t deserve it, she does it because she can and she wants to, out of the pure joy and the love of giving.
If things are stressful and you feel trapped, spend a few minutes breathing deeply, and focussing on her image. Be a Fairy Godmother to someone else, the best gifts are given anonymously so be the gift in someone else’s life, preferably without them knowing, and without expectation od reward, credit or even acknowledgement. She brings awareness that you don’t have to be “good”, or “religious”, or in some way deserving of love, joy and abundance to receive it.
That is a concept created by unscrupulous people and institutions to control you with fear. The Universe is abundant and joyful. The only reason you are not feeling it is simply because you choose not to or have been convinced somehow that you don’t deserve it, and you chose to accept that as truth.
The Quantum Oracle – Deserving: Your True Worthiness
Goodness, a double whammy of deserve-ability for us today!! The Quantum Oracle reminds us that we are deserving, just by being alive.
Things and situations you have been longing for and hoping for are right there, all you need to do is stop believing you don’t deserve them, and know that you do.
Young religions like the Abrahamic Religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam), do not have the millennia of experience and awareness of the older religions, and in many ways are really teenagers and young adults “acting out” with idealistic judgements and control structures based in fear.
They haven’t realised yet, that “bad” situations are not evil, but growth experiences, that the darkness is just the absence of light, that the fear of non-physical entities and not being allowed into eternal glory due to arbitrary human dictates is even a possibility. That human “priests” and “prophets” can dictate the course and actions of the divine, or even other humans, is arrogant in the extreme.
They have instilled a sense of unworthiness, and low value in humanity that pervades all aspects of our lives, even those we do not connect to religions directly, and this has convinced us that we are undeserving – this is the furthest thing from the truth.
We deserve joy, abundance and love just by being alive, on this planet, at this time. Choose to accept that and embrace the gifts already in your life that you just can’t see yet.
Again focussing on gratitude exercises and meditations in the morning and/or evening can help here too.
How can we ground this learning into our experience and move forward?
The Psychic Tarot: Memories of Love
It is much easier to remember the hard lessons, the times we “failed” and the times we “lost”. This card reminds us to also remember the times we loved, the times we “won” and the times we felt good.
It is important not to dwell on them and wish for them back, to live in the “good old days” mindset, but to use them to remind ourselves that there is joy and love, not only possible in some abstract way, but in ways that we have experienced and can experience again if we chose too. This time with different faces, different places and different experiences.
Our past is there as guidebook not a manual. Look at situations in the past, and see what you can do differently, have fun with it, make changes and choices and see where they lead you.
Divine Nature Oracle Deck: Court the Divine Feminine:
Our modern society and religions often supress the feminine energy as subservient, weak and passive, this is not entirely true. The masculine energy is also not supreme, aggressive and domineering either.
Although the masculine energy is more active, passionate and provides the spark of creativity, the feminine energy nurtures that spark and creates life manifest.
The Divine Marriage is a balance between the masculine and feminine energy, the dance of creation where each brings their whole and creates something greater than the sum of the parts.
We each have differing degrees of masculine and feminine energy that do not rely on our physical vessel. Although the vessel has a predominant energy that can never be changed regardless of any medical or other artificial interventions used to change it, our non-physical energy is able to shift and change constantly between “more masculine”, and “more feminine” thoughts and actions.
This card reminds us that there is a time for action, but also a time for nurturing, so remember to nurture yourself and practice self-love and encouragement too.
Self-love requires full self-acceptance first, accepting and loving yourself exactly as you are right now, not as something you have to change to “fit-in”, to “be accepted”, to “have value” – you are exactly who you are and that is ok, in fact that is awesome and amazing.
You have aspects that bring you joy and those that bring you pain, embrace the power of self-forgiveness, and chose more of the joyous experiences.
Remember sometimes bleh moments, or chores, or things you dislike doing can be done with a dash of love and joy that can make the situation amazing! Do that instead of moaning about it, or beating yourself up.
Summary
Righty oh! Lets do this!
Our central focus this week is action and decision making. More specifically hopeful action, or action taken in trust. Trust in ourselves and our perception of the divine. Don’t spend too much time over-thinking things and over-analysing things. Take action, trusting that you have the ability to act and create the life you want, and the freedom to change it if what you want turns out to be something you didn’t really want after all.
Our experience in this reality is one of constant creation and destruction. Remember when you have or receive any gift, you automatically have its polar-opposite too. When you create one thing, something else gets destroyed. Let’s look at an example, if you are creating a loving and supporting environment for yourself, surrounded by loving supportive friends, you are going to have to destroy the relationship you have with friends and family that do not support this desire, or forfeit the desire.
This reminds me of an interesting instance of “broken telephone” that has happened over the years. Do you know that the original quotation that spurned the cliché “blood is thicker than water” meaning that family bonds are stronger and need to be maintained above those of friends and others, means the exact opposite?
The original quotation is; “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb”, i.e. the bonds connected by choice, found family etc, are stronger and more valuable than the connection of family bonds.
Just shows how things can change over the years, through different translations and understandings, until it is taught as exactly the opposite of its original intention.
So lets have a look at the support offered for this decision-making, and creation. A double-whammy of deserveability! Take that!! Lol.
Firstly, Sairie, the Fairy Godmother, reminds us that love and healing is not a matter of deserving but a matter of accepting. The best way to receive is to give with an open heart, quietly and secretly with love, and the Quantum Oracle reminds us that we deserve so much more than we allow ourselves to receive.
So how do we ground this into our physical reality? By remembering the times we did have joy and love, not to “live in the past”, but to remind ourselves that we can do it, and to embrace our feminine aspects of support and nurturing, first to ourselves and then to others.
From another perspective, look how well you have created a life, or situations you don’t like or have caused you harm, imagine the situations you can create if you just accept that you deserve love and abundance?
Hope this helps – have a fab week!!

The Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labours and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
