Time for some Wednesday Wisdom.

Just a reminder that the summary is posted at the beginning, if you are short on time, but can’t wait to read it! The full wisdom and knowledge are in the detailed breakdown, though.

When I do the reading, I do the individual cards first, then bring them together, so that would be the ideal way to read it too, unless you really can’t wait! As always, do what works best for you.

Have a blessed week!!

It has been a bit crazy this week, and the cards also gave me a bit of a tough time, maybe lots hitting me where it hurts too!! Ouch!!

Anyway, here we go – feel free to comment and let me know how you feel about the reading.

Our cards this week are very focused on our emotions, perhaps jumping on the full-moon energy from last night, so let’s get into this, shall we?

Our central focus is the Crown Prince of Cups. Traditionally the Queen, the Crown Prince is more emotionally balanced than the King, and can be very supportive and compassionate, but also controlling and smothering.

He reminds us to embrace our compassion and understanding without smothering and controlling others. To maintain our boundaries and stand up for ourselves without destroying others in the process.

Supporting him this week are our scary-looking Faerie Friend, The Soul-shrinker, and the Playing it Safe card. The Soul-shrinker reminds us that our words carry energy and power, he also brings us face-to-face with our delusions, confusions and misbehaviours in a way we can no longer ignore.

This is not a “punishment” but rather a wake-up call to handle our truth and follow our own path. The Play it Safe card, reinforces this thought by reminding us that the passion, joy and creativity are not in our comfort zones, but in the wild forest beyond our white picket fence.

So how do we do this, our grounding cards give us some direction here by reminding us to focus on our truth, to withdraw our emotional support from damaging people, situations and circumstances, and not giving them the energy they need to grow, but focusing that energy on our truth. Obviously, after we have allowed the Soul-shrinker to show us which of these truths are true and which are delusions.

The Bubble Up card reminds us to focus inward on what we are saying and allowing into the universe, are we buying into the drama outside, or trusting our own bubble of truth to guide us through?

Hope this helps this week, I am now gonna take a deep breath and dive into the chaos that is my life right now with love, peace, acceptance and joy – have a fab week!!

Card by card explanation

Central energy focus
The StJinx Arcana: The Crown Prince of Cups

Compassion, warmth, kindness, caring, supportive emotional stability, healing, nagging, smothering, interfering, shady, strict, controlling.

Our central focus this week is the Crown Prince of Cups. Traditionally the Queen, he is the emotional balance to the often-tempestuous King of Cups.  He is approachable and compassionate, but can also be smothering, interfering and controlling.

Do not take his kindness and compassion as a weakness, he has a quiet strength and stability

He can also be stifling and over-protective. His boundaries are uncompromising and he will protect what he holds dear with a fierceness you have never seen before.

He loves caring for others, sometimes too much.

What is supporting this process, what processes can we use to help us here?
The Faerie’s Oracle – The Soul-shrinker: Cruelty, gossip, curses, destruction and blessing.

Once a beautiful and graceful faerie, The Soul-shrinker has, over time, become corrupted by his role. He is one of the Faerie Challengers and brings us face-to-face with our fears, denials, traumas, insecurities, delusions, confusions and misbehaviours.  He will not allow us to hide behind our false sense of self, or our fake personas.

He also reminds us of the importance of our thoughts and words.  Many of the things we consider curses or negative feelings that we accuse others of are actually our own thoughts and words reflected back at us. We curse ourselves so to speak.

When you gossip, insult, and criticise others, you are also lowering your own vibration, no matter how “perfect” and “right “ you may think you are in any circumstance or situation.

In the Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruis reminds us to be impeccable with our word, and our faerie friend reminds us of this.  Not only to keep your word, but also to understand the power of words to send energy and hurt, or heal.

Despite having to face and experience all the worst thoughts and actions of humanity, his heart remains pure, compassionate and loving.

He urges us to learn and practice “right thought” and “right action”. Paying attention to our thoughts and actions and making sure they are of the highest vibration we are capable of at that point.

Call on him to help you see through the delusions, insecurities etc. we surround ourselves with.

Quantum Oracle: Playing it Safe: Fenced in

The lady in the card is sitting peacefully in her nicely manicured garden, protected by her white picket fence, but she looks bored, maybe even a bit listless, doesn’t she?

She is also totally missing out on the fireworks behind her and the wild beauty of the natural forest.

This card reminds us that, while our comfort zones may be, well, comfortable, they are also a trap and keep us stuck in what we know and trust. There is no expansion or excitement there, no passion either.

This card reminds me of a quote from the Prophet by Khalil Gibran; “If you would take yourself out of love’s threshing floor … to a world where you will laugh, but not all of your laughter, and cry, but not all of your tears”, or something like that anyway lol.

Sometimes our comfort zones are useful when we need to take a breath, or a moment, but they are not meant for us to stay there.

There is a big world out there; put on your “big girl panties” and explore it. Your truth, passion and joy are out there, not in your comfort zone.

How can we ground this learning into our experience and move forward?
The Psychic Tarot: Emotional Withdrawal

One of the things we tend to do when we are hurt or even abused is withdraw into ourselves and often abuse ourselves in our minds.

This card reminds us that people often use our emotions, fears, etc. to control and manipulate us. When this happens, we usually turn it on ourselves – this is giving your power away.

Instead, remove yourself emotionally from the situation and people that harm you, and refocus on ways that bring you joy.

Try not to go into the downward spiral of self-abuse; rather, understand that only damaged people can damage other people, forgive them and stay true to your integrity, even if it goes against your “normal” processes, or against the outside world’s view of “right” and “wrong”.

Our reality is about experiencing and exchanging energy. We do this all day, every day, whether we are aware of it or not. Keep your energy as close to love as you can and let them do what they need to do to be who they are.

By fighting and arguing with people, we lower our energy. Leo Buscaglia (again lol) had a wonderful thing he used to do, Wayne Dyer also talks of a similar thing.

When someone argues with you, or denies your truth, say to them, “You know, I hadn’t thought about it like that”, or “You may be right, I will think about it”.  Acknowledge their point. You don’t need to agree, just acknowledge it, and you also don’t need to take it on board either.

Reclaim your emotional power back from everyone you have allowed to destroy your peace, take a breath and let them be who they need to be to express their path, the same way you expect others to respect your path.

Divine Nature Oracle Deck: Bubble Up

As many of you know, I discourage doing protection of any kind. While you are consciously doing protection, you are subconsciously saying that there is something to be protected from, that the world is a dangerous place and that you are not strong enough to “fight it” alone. “Your wish is my command”, says Spirit, and focuses all your attention and draws into your awareness situations that confirm that belief.

I suggest that you still do your rituals and processes, but shift them to focus on the world being an exciting place, and that you are safe.

Another problem with protection, especially if you have a large base of fear to work from, is that you can also “protect” yourself so well that the “good” things can’t find you, so that you almost become invisible.

I even had people in shops overlooking me in queues and being surprised when I spoke, and my readings decreasing substantially at fayres etc, because I was protecting myself so well!

From this perspective, this card is reminding us to keep our thoughts clear of fear, to “bubble” ourselves in trust and knowing that we are safe.

Louise Hay had a wonderful affirmation, remember affirmations only work if you put all your thoughts into knowing they are true, right? All is well, everything is working for my highest good, I am safe – this way, even if things do “go wrong”, knowing they are part of the process to get to where you want to, takes the “bite” out of them.

The Desiderata
By Max Ehrmann ©1927

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
