Hi everyone – once again my apologies for missing last week, and thank you for your understanding. Sometimes it is just impossible to get to everything and I need to put bread on my table too 😊.
In summary:
Some hard-hitting cards this week – the common thread is quite clear though. Take a step back, and consult “professionals” in your field or situation. Find out the truth of the situation, not evidence of the truth you have already decided on, but the truth behind other people’s perspectives too. Speak up if you have knowledge others might need or insights others may not have thought of.
There is abundance all around you if you look for it, focus on that and make the best of it. So you only have pasta, a tomato, an onion and some old mixed veggies – make a stir-fry, add water and some herbs if you have them, and viola!! Dinner!
If you have a roof over your head, food to eat, water in your taps and power in your sockets, you are better off than the vast majority of the world. Cold comfort on a stormy night, I know, but true none-the-less. Focus on being grateful for what you do have, rather than bemoaning what you don’t have. We all want our lives to be good, focus on what that means to you and be grateful for what you have, and it will improve – guaranteed! Even if the only thing that changes initially, is the way you feel, the world will slowly change around you.
The appearance of the Hanged Man is a definite wake-up call that we need to look deeply into our pre-conceived, indoctrinated thoughts and processes. We need to be prepared to be vulnerable and open to other’s views, and embracing of different ways of doing things. Redefine what makes you a “good” or “bad” person, what you want in your life and how your life can be improved. For you and your immediate family, if we all do that, then we won’t need to rely on others for our survival.
Abraham & Ester Hicks remind us that everything is a process, and following from the Hanged Man, that sometimes things that we hold dear to our hearts, need to be sacrificed, for our betterment, growth and process. Instead of fighting for your ideals and judgements, consider that maybe your ideals and judgements are what is holding you back and blocking your process?
Much like the last reading two weeks ago, this one ends with a message of trusting the process, trusting yourself and trusting a higher power if you believe you are incapable of doing it yourself. No matter how bad the world around you is, how important the people you lose are, sometimes we have to lose them to find the strength in ourselves.
Have a blessed week – take some deep breaths and release something that is worrying you – then of course hug someone who is stressed and losing it – they need the support and you need love too.
Pro-hugging Tip:
When you hug someone bring them in over your left shoulder, this places your hearts together and the energy exchange is purer and more effective!
Card by card explanation
The Quantum Oracle: Professional Assistance
In the professional area particularly, we need to accept that we don’t know everything. The way the world of work has evolved, we have many people specialised in specific areas. While it is good to know the basics of the areas outside of your own skill set, it is also very useful to ask for advice from people who specialise in areas you may not fully grasp. I am reminded of the “Fifth Agreement” explained by don Miguel Ruis and his son don Jose Ruiz – “Be Sceptical, but Learn to Listen” – we often think that we know what we know, and we know best.
In many ways this is true, but other people’s experiences can deepen our knowledge of ourselves too, give us different perspectives, and enhance our experience. Don’t take anything you read or are taught as “gospel” but do pay attention and truly listen anyway – you will surprise yourself. This card is advising you that you need to get more “professional” advice this week, listen to hear, not listen to argue – very important distinction there. Hear and understand the point of people who disagree with you, it may expand your own awareness.
If you feel that you have reached a point where you can share your knowledge and experience, then do so. This card may also be saying to you that you are now “professional” enough to guide others.
Psychic Tarot: Fertility
Traditional Card – The Empress: This card represents the abundant fertility of the physical world. Often related to Mother Nature it represents the nurturing care, compassion, and patience of the earth as it goes through its processes of growth, death and rebirth. At this point in the cycle your manifestations, thoughts and feelings are manifesting in the physical plane. If you don’t like what is happening in the world around you, change your thoughts about it – we have discussed this before, but maybe we need a repeat. You are at the core of your experience, if you don’t like it, change it. This is not a call to activism though. Activism is a total waste of time and energy, and entirely externally focussed.
As we mature through our experience, if we are paying attention and not blinded by our ego, we realise that changing the world is impossible. We have no right to change the way anyone else experiences their reality. Think back to when people have tried to control you, don’t become the abusive “controller” forcing your own way on others, that is exactly what was done to you – even if you think you are more “holy”, “forgiving”, “a better person” and all that other clap trap. The process is exactly the same and the energy is exactly the same – abusive and controlling.
Allow the Empress to gently guide you in your process. If someone does or says something that upsets you, the “problem”, or blockage is within you, and very often, if you confront the other person with your “accusation”, they will look at you in horror, their intention was never to upset you, it was your interpretation of their actions that triggered you. Look for the trigger and heal, forgive and release it with in yourself, and it will stop appearing in the world around you.
There is that old adage, if you are looking for something, you will always find it. If you go into a situation expecting judgement and criticism, you will interpret every action by others as judgemental and critical. The empress reminds us to accept the process and embrace the growth within ourselves. Embrace the joy and love around you, accept it rather than look for trouble that may or may not be there – get that chip off your shoulder and embrace life in all its beauty.
The St Jinx Arcana: The Hanged Man
Waiting, surrender control, new perspectives, contemplation, sacrifice. If you look at the image of the Hanged Man, he is hanging by one leg from a tree. This can relate to the legend of Odin who hung as a sacrifice on the world tree to gain wisdom and insight. Someone being sacrificed, you would imagine, would have a serious look on their face, but our Hanging Man looks happy, even blissful.
He is not focussing on what he has lost, but on what he is gaining through his sacrifice. The concept of sacrifice has really lost its meaning in our modern world. Now I am not suggesting you sacrifice yourself for others, by no means, this concept is a corruption of the concept of sacrifice by modern religions. True sacrifice is releasing, and letting go of things, in essence “sacrificing” one thing to gain another, that are hampering your process. Whatever they may be; ideals, people, jobs, whatever in the pursuit of higher awareness and wisdom. It is about attaining wisdom by releasing attachment really. The Hanged Man reminds us that to move forward, we need to often sacrifice our comfort zone, sacrifice our safe space and “grow up”. He also reminds us that time is our friend, and that the process is important too.
The Teachings of Abraham Well-being Cards
What’s my big hurry? (It’s all for joy). All is well.
We have been convinced by society that life is about striving, getting, and being “better”. This is not entirely true. Striving for something different is what life is about, but it is not striving for what we think. It is all about the experience. All about now – there have been many books written about the power of now, and really that is all we have – the past is done and can’t be changed, and the future is not as predictable as people think. Change your feelings about your situation now, find some joy or laughter in what is happening now, and appreciate what you do have in your life now. All is well, everything is manifesting exactly as you have created it to, right now, if you don’t like what is around you, find the joy and gratitude in now, and the next now, and the next one, and over time, the world will start showing you more of that.
The truth of the matter is, you will never get it done, you will never be finished, until you pop your clogs anyway, then you are done, but only with this experience. Who knows what happens next! So stop racing from one moment to the next, stop, smell the flowers, dance in the rain, and be grateful for that. Don’t let your fear of the future, detract from now. You have survived 100% of every impossible situation you have ever been in – why will now be any different?
Psychic Tarot of the Heart: Trust
Leap, dare, innocence, optimism, belief, courage. Traditionally The Fool, The Trust card shows a woman jumping into space, with her eyes closed and a look of bliss on her face. This is an exciting card, but also quite frightening. Many people, out of fear, become control freaks. This card is about not only trusting the process etc, but trusting yourself, trusting that you are going to be ok – as I said, you have survived and thrived after every setback you thought you wouldn’t, why would now be any different? You got this!
The only time you are 100% in control is when you totally surrender control. It is impossible for anyone to control everything about a situation, people will betray you, friends may decide they don’t support an idea or decision, and on and on. If you try and control things, you will drive yourself insane and your life goes to shit because you are constantly externally focused and lose yourself in the process.
The World Is Too Much With Us
By William Wordsworth
The world is too much with us; late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers;—
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
This Sea that bares her bosom to the moon;
The winds that will be howling at all hours,
And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers;
For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
It moves us not. Great God! I’d rather be
A Pagan suckled in a creed outworn;
So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea;
Or hear old Triton blow his wreathèd horn.
