Hi, hope you survived the last week, for me is was a good one in the end, but getting through it was tough, with lots of wake up calls and “lessons learned” for want of a better phrase. Let’s see what this week’s energy reminders are all about..

You are at a place right now, even if your life seems to be falling apart, particularly on the financial side of things, where you have the power to change things. Do not let the “failures” of the past drag you back there, or the guilt incapacitate you, or even the future goals and aspirations derail you, find your strength for right now, it is there I promise, and abundance will shower down on you in much greater volume than you could hope for. Don’t look into the future too far, just focus on the next step, often when we look at the goal, it seems too big and intimidates us, or we think that this next step will derail us, this is not always the case. Make the best decision for yourself right now and see where that leads you.

Resistance blocks manifestation and creation, so don’t fight or resist what is, focus instead on what you would like to see within your current experience, find elements of that and be grateful for them. Celebrate other peoples successes, it will prove to you success is possible. It is very easy when you feel done and lost to believe it will never get better, it will.

Look a little deeper, the truth isn’t necessarily what it appears to be. Focus on your strength, know this cycle will pass just as every other one has, everything is a cycle, and this too will pass. You are not a bad person, you didn’t fail, you just produced unexpected results, re-evaluate and re-feel your way through this.

I know you can do this, you have done it before, change your focus, re-evaluate your truths and make choices more in line with the life you want not the life you see around you.

Have a blessed week – tell someone they are loved – it will make you both feel better!!

Card by card explanation

Quantum Oracle: Present Power

Take your strength from the here and now: The card shows a man on a pedestal standing strong, in control and calm, the lion of the past, and tiger of the future, tamed and at peace. Sometimes life can get chaotic as we know. When the proverbial hits the fan, very often, our past failures or fear of future failures and expectations can overwhelm and disable us, pull the carpet out from underneath our feet so to speak.

This card reminds us that now is the most powerful time we have. You cannot truly fail, you can produce unexpected outcomes though. The future is also largely unknown, so we also tend “prepare for the worst”, nothing wrong with that, but don’t forget to expect the best too. How many of the worst-case scenarios have actually come about? And if they have, were they as bad as you thought, did they not give you experiences that made you stronger, better or wiser, did you not get through them? Of course you did, you are here reading this.

This card is reminding us this week that you are, right now, in the most powerful place you can be right now. You have the strength, the power, the knowledge right now to make different choices. You past “failures” don’t define you, nor do your future fantasies. Stop driving yourself crazy, your choices and decisions right now are where your power lies. And if you make a choice that creates an unexpected outcome, re-evaluate it, and in the future now, make a different choice.

Another issue that comes up with the past is guilt. It is the most useless and pointless emotion in the world. What is done is done, have you become wiser, have you realised something about yourself that you can make different choices about next time? Then do that. Guilt also gives people a way of controlling us, don’t get caught there either. This is the best explanation I have ever seen about guilt.

Experiencing guilt is like sitting on your patio, sipping arsenic, watching your enemy go buy and hoping they are going to die. Most times, things you are carrying guilt about, the other person has long since moved on about, or they didn’t even experience or see the “bad” thing you did – forgive yourself and move on – it is in the past let it stay there.

Do not become a victim of the past, or the future, be the best you, you can be right now – the specifications of what that maybe will change, but do the best you can right now, then the next now and the next and things will shift.

Psychic Tarot: Financial and Material Changes

Changes, Challenges and losses on the financial front

This card always gave me chills, I used to see this as a punishment or failing on my part to be a “good” person, however I have come to realise that change is constant, particularly on the financial front, and very often out of our control.

I also know, and have seen this in my life, that everything works in cycles, this too will pass, just as everything else does. Trust in the process and allow the situation to go, don’t get hung up, stressed and panicked. Yes, your rent and bills have to be paid, but maybe they can be deferred – don’t run from your creditors, explain your situation, make a commitment to fix it, work out what you can do and what you can’t, and stick to that commitment. Shit happens, don’t swim in it, clear it or climb out of it.

Have you been giving away your power by relying on other people or institutions to support or provide for you? I am not talking about earning a salary, charging for services, or working towards a financial goal, but more believing that you cannot exist without someone else’s “handouts”, gifts or generosity. Are you using your wounds to play victim and get people to “show their love” by playing into that victim?

Time to stop that, or at least work towards it. Sometimes accepting a hand up, or support is necessary and useful, it can also create a dependency, and a control structure to the person or institution providing the support, “behave this way, do this or I won’t help you” etc. Remember that support can be withdrawn at any time, no matter who or what is offering that support, or how deeply you believe you “deserve” it.

Charity and support are often given by powerful people and institutions to control people, don’t let yourself be drawn into this. Accept help when you need or want to, but always know, the power is in your hands to make your life work and no-one else’s. True friends will support you always, maybe not in the way you hope for or believe you need, sometimes that support is a kick in the arse, sometimes it means them saying no! Even if it is painful, it will help you more in truth that a handout.

Maybe these changes are happening to make you aware of how much you rely on conditional support, or other’s generosity. Maybe it is a wake-up call to take more responsibility for yourself and your livelihood, make changes in your employment situation, or millions of other options.

In numerology, 5 is the number of personal power, balancing the five elements of earth (physical), air (thought), fire (passion), water (emotion) and spirit into a coherent whole. A place of power so to speak.

Take a breath, as I said before, you have come through 100% of every situation your though was too big for you, you will get through tis too. Let go of the stuff you are holding on to, sell some stuff that is cluttering up your space, redefine your priorities – go for it – you can do it! How do I know that, simple, you have done it before.

The St Jinx Arcana: Nine of Pentacles

Oh my word, working with the tarot makes me laugh so often!! After all the doom and gloom of the previous card, along comes the 9 of Pentacles! This card is the culmination of financial security, so this one will be short as I have said a lot above that is reconfirmed here.

At first glance it appears to totally contradict the previous card, unless you look at it as a process. Your work is paying off, so from the previous card into this one, the losses and changes brought about by the financial changes are essential for you to receive the abundance that you cannot see right now. Know it is there, and it may not be in money coming in, it may be in discounts, gifts and joy received, accept with a grateful heart, do not allow it to create. It is also useful to re-iterate the gratitude exercise I mentioned last week.

Get up in the morning and make the choice – everything is a choice. Make a choice to find 5 things to be grateful for today. Then at the end of the day, list them. This will help change what you look for, so what you look at will also change. PRO TIP – don’t repeat anything on your list for at least 21 days!

Gratitude shifts our focus from the panic and fear, so allows more positive things into our lives – more on this in the next card…

The Teachings of Abraham Well-being Cards

The harder I push against it, the more I attract its essence.

When something happens that is unpleasant, or we see an injustice, or we see what we consider to be an injustice in the world, our compassionate “messiah complex” kicks in, and we jump to their defence, try to help them, try and sort it out, try to make the world a better place, etc. etc. Our religions and other institutions have also made it a virtue to sacrifice ourselves for the “higher good”, to “get to heaven” so to speak. Very often this “virtue” contains caveats though. You can be healed of your addiction, but only with the grace of (insert deity name here) and sacrifice, atone, beg forgiveness etc.

On the surface this seems like a good thing, face the situations that have brought unexpected results, release the guilt, access spiritual wisdom, get rid of the addiction, and yes sometimes we do need the help of spiritual entities to assist us, “give us the strength” so to speak. But that is where religious stop and make thinking further than that, questioning god, challenging their teachings etc. a cardinal sin, that is when the abuse starts, “you are being ungrateful”, “you are turning against —“, “your recovery is because of us and our god”, the list of “guilts” piled on is endless.

Here is the truth. Yes you tapped into an unending source of spiritual energy to “give you strength” etc, but that energy doesn’t need your worship, your debasement, your pain, it is unending and contains all, just your being in this reality, at this time, having the experiences you are having, and learning how to make better decisions for better outcomes in your own experience is the “payback” you are offering to “spirit” lets call it. Every breath you take, whether you consider it good or bad, is your offering to “spirit”.

BUT

You did the work, you did the exercises, you faced your fears, you took the steps, you made the decisions, you took the actions, you brought yourself to the place you are at, guided perhaps, encouraged perhaps, intimidated even maybe, but YOU made those choices. No-one – not even the creator of everything can force you to do anything against your will and without your consent at some level.

Granted, every action has consequences, both positive and negative, and you have to accept them as part of your choices and decisions. This is how we grow in our experience.

Now that we have clarified that, from the law of attraction perspective, the world is designed to function the way the world functions. “It is what it is“, an irritating colloquialism perhaps, but based in truth. In all beliefs there is the concept of “you reap what you sow”. What you send out comes back to you. This card is asking us to look deeper into what we are really focussing on, and it may come as a surprise. There is that story about Mother Theresa saying she wouldn’t attend an anti-war rally, but she would attend a peace rally. And that basically sums it up.
Energy is a very simple thing, it attracts more of itself – simple right? A magnet doesn’t suddenly attract wood, no it attracts its metal. This is what is behind the concept often spoken about by Abraham and Esther Hicks, that to know what we do want, we have to first know what we don’t want, and then learn to exclude what we don’t want from our thinking.

Let me explain this in a different way using the Mother Theresa example above. Why did she say she wouldn’t attend an anti-war rally. Energy is energy, thought energy goes to similar thoughts. If you are focussing on fighting a war – what are you focussing on? The war, and so the energy goes to ….. the war. Energy isn’t subtle, it doesn’t mess about. You think of war, it goes to war. This is where the majority of activists go off the rails, because the more they focus on the particular issue, the more they see it, and the bigger it gets, and the more they have to fight, and the cycle continues. Another thing that happens is that, because their “lens” or focus is on that particular issue, the train their mind to find it, even when it isn’t really there! They technically add two and two and get five, because it looks like five, and if it isn’t five they have no purpose, and after all the energy and focus they have spent defining themselves by this cause, they can not ever accept that it is done. Activism never has a true victory, ever.

This card is reminding us to stop fighting and focus on the things that are working in our own lives, spend the energy on being grateful for what we do have, and what we want our lives too look like. Not on the nitty gritties and the how’s of it, those will work themselves out. Do you think the energy that created all of this doesn’t know the best how’s to get you there, do you really think your “higher self” doesn’t know – again, you have come through 100% of every unsurmountable situation you have ever been in – do you in your physical mind know how – no, you felt through the next step, and the next, and the next until ta daa there you are.

Don’t mourn what we don’t have, that is the quickest way to get more of it.

Psychic Tarot of the Heart: Seek the Truth

Holy moly!! Now there is a concept – the Truth! Is there such a thing? If you look around you at the world today, how many of the “absolute truths” you grew up with have been proven false truths? From my perspective almost everything I held as absolute truth growing up has been shattered! Yes this is terrifying because we base our sense of security and trust on the truth and when it is shattered, our sense of self often shatters too.

For me this card is saying look a little deeper, the truth isn’t always what it appears to be. Much of what we consider truth lies in our upbringing, our religions, our schooling, the country we grew up in etc. etc. etc. When I was in my early twenties, my entire worldview was shattered. I was going to be a catholic priest and all that entails, then I discovered the joys of male intimacy should we say, my family and church rejected me, everywhere I turned I was reviled, or considered damaged and infected or whatever for no other reason than just existing and loving who I loved.

All the truths I had held as absolute were gone and I was adrift, so I started exploring, initially totally rejected my previous life, and trying to fill the gaps with other things, but nothing fitted, nothing worked 100%, so I kept searching until I realised I had to look deeper, the whole world can’t be wrong, and only me be right, so there must be some truth in things somewhere.

Once I stepped out of my “religious mindset” – not only in the religion I was brought up in, but also in all paths I had explored, and I learnt more about quantum physics and mechanics, and law of attraction etc, did things start to make sense, and the truths that I had previously held as true, were still true, just in a way that did not include manmade doctrine, personal experience, justification and control.

A simple fact about the truth is that it needs no justification or explanation, it is self-evident. Remember self-evident can depend on where you are, if that changes, the truth may no longer be as self-evident as it appears, so then you need to ask yourself, is it really true, or is there a bigger truth behind that?

Let’s look at a simple stament and analyse it’s truth: “The sun rises in the east and sets in the west every day”, right?

For most of the world this is an absolute truth, they see it happening every day, they may even, and have, created complex mythologies around it.

Now, lets add the knowledge, that the earth is round, and at the north and south poles, the sun actually doesn’t rise every day at all, but rises and sets once every six months or so, does that make the previous truth untrue, or a truth based in that experience, and now that a bigger truth has been unveiled, is it bad? Well only to those making a living off the concept of the sun rising every day, because their mythologies don’t cover that eventuality because they have never had any experience of it. Remember the chaos in more simple times when there was an eclipse – oh my goodness – now we know its cool and sometimes we can use the energy fluctuations to our advantage.

So lets restate the above truth, “The sun rises and sets in a regular cycle, it always rises and always sets though”. But does it?

Take the picture out another level, actually the sun doesn’t do diddly, the earth moves around the sun, we experience it as rises and setting, so for our experience, that aspect is important, but the truth is that we move around the sun. Does that make our experience invalid, or does understanding the bigger picture give us additional insights into the actual experience.

Could it be for example, that the physical experience is important for our physical being, or could it be that, even though the cycle moves through our lives, it is part of a bigger picture, and that picture can bring us light and hope, even when we are in our darkest experience?
